    Yes it does.

Eric Crouch, Nebraska '01 (11-2, 7-1), Played for National Title

Jason White, Oklahoma '03 (12-2, 8-1), Played for National Title
Matt Leinart, USC '04 (13-0, 8-0), National Title Winner
Troy Smith, OSU '06 (12-1, 8-0), Played for National Title
Sam Bradford, Oklahoma '08 (12-1, 8-1), Played for National Title
Mark Ingram, Alabama '09 (14-0, 9-0), National Title Winner

Tim Tebow is clearly the exception, not the rule.

Robinson looks VERY VERY good at this point (early) of the season. I agree with others that have said it. If Michigan is a Top 10 team at season's end (12-0, 11-1, or 10-2), he'll be right in the mix if he keeps performing even half this well.

The media wants to give it to Pryor this year, its too bad Pryor is focused on winning a National Championship rather than a meaningless award. After Troy Smith won it, the award has gone downhill, giving it to lousy garbage players like Tebow and Colt McCoy.

You do realize McCoy never won the Heisman right??

Notice that the only two players sleeper mentioned were players that beat Ohio State in bowl games?

In fairness, the starting QB for Florida in the '07 Championship Game was Chris Leak.

With numbers like what Denard Robinson is putting up, he can clearly be an "exception." The argument is invalid.

Because one transfered from Michigan, and one Chose Ohio State over Michigan

Pryor was never going to Michigan you're all fools. He played rich rod like an iPod.

Ok, I get that from a Michigan fan perspective. I guess I see Mallet's transfer in a different light, as it was obviously apparent to him that he was not a fit for RRod's system. As for Pryor, I think he would still be perfectly fine with his decision.

Didn't say otherwise on either account.

As a Buckeye fan, I would be happy to see Denard get the Heisman!

As long as Michigan loses to the Buckeyes again!!

Robinson has been pretty amazing the first couple games. Like many others, I wonder if he can hold up for a full season with that type of workload. I really hope he does, as I want UM back to the UM of old.

the only way the former could happen is if the latter doesn't....so, likewise a Buckeye fan, I wouldn't

Yes, if he keeps up with the numbers that he has been putting up he could be an exception. But we're two games into the season. And he's not an exception yet.

My argument is just as valid as yours, only I have prior history on my side.

Michigan needs to be at least 11-1 for him to win the Heisman, regardless of stats.

Denard could win the heisman without beating OSU

^^^Possibly, but highly unlikely. Since this would be the last game of the regular season for both teams, it would be the freshest in the voters' minds. Now, he could go off for some crazy numbers in this game, but again--highly unlikely in the event of a loss.
  • killer_ewok
I gotta admit.....Robinson is a likable kid. The interviews I've seen with him so far....I'm impressed. He talks about the team rather than himself, winning instead of his numbers. Seems like a good dude.

Yes. In this day and age....that's pretty rare.

Read this earlier on the LSU board: "Denard Robinson is ranked 48th in total offense -- by himself
Would rank 48th in Nation in total offense over 71 other teams"

I hate Michigan, but college football is better when they are elite...same goes for ND and Nebraska.

He makes Tate Forcier look like a pile of cat shit, both on the field and off.
