  The tug was enough to turn Gamble around on his route. As most OSU fans know, that was supposed to be a quick crossing route. When Gamble got grabbed by the jersey, he got turned around and was forced to change his route toward the sidelines which was not in his favor since he was lined up on the short side of the field to begin with. Obviously taking off for the sidelines didn't leave him with too much room to make the grab in bounds, which he nearly did anyways.
  
  So I'd say that 'small tug' had some relevance to Gamble running the rest of his route and making the catch.

  The blown call is the fact that the ball was caught in bounds and it was incorrectly ruled incomplete. It's kind of inconclusive from that angle but from another angle it's clearly a catch. If it was ruled a catch, the game probably ends soon thereafter.
