He'll have to rape him from behind....errrr......uhhhhhh......that didn't come out right. -
CinciX12No one is raping anyone. That is the only way I turn the damn game off.

sjmvsfscs08On a different note, sorry for going off topic, but I was just offered a trade for my Ohio State-Miami ticket. The guy offered me two Notre Dame-Pittsburgh tickets.
I'd be a fool not to take this, right? I was trying to sell my Miami ticket anyway.. -

Seeing as how you are a ND fan, I'd say it is a good trade for you.sjmvsfscs08;475507 wrote:On a different note, sorry for going off topic, but I was just offered a trade for my Ohio State-Miami ticket. The guy offered me two Notre Dame-Pittsburgh tickets.

I'd buy those off you if you are wanting to get rid of them. How many games do you need to go to anyway? -

bo shemmy3337Here Is how I see it. Uconn is better than Purdue IMO however, Uconn played bad on Offense and the game could have easily been much closer. ND looked good at times and was off at others on offense, this being Kelly first year is expected. The ND defense played really well against a rather good spread offense in Purdue. However I feel Michigan has a better offense than Purdue. Michigan has not had problems scoring in the past 2 years against ND. ND has a very good QB who is going to tear the Weak Michigan secondary in to pieces IMO.
It is really hard to pick a team to win in this one as I watched a Michigan team who has improved a ton on both sides of the ball but are still very young and have an average defense at best. Notre damn has a good defense with a talented offense but they were never down in game one and were never forced to score. It all comes down to how quickly Michigan can get on the board IMO. Kelly implemented a new system and no matter how good a team is, they are going to struggle at times. If the game were at The Big House I would say Michigan by 14 but it's not and Michigan has a very poor record on the road. I don't think the game will be a shoot out as some think however points will be scored. It is going to be a close game and one that is extremely hard to pick a winner. I do think Michigan will win the game in a very close one. However if ND can run kelly's offense well they can easily win this game. Michigan by single digits is my pick based on last year and the current season. I would not be surprised to see it going either way though. GO BLUE!!! and I am very excited for this one. -
killer_ewokAgreed, Bo. This should be a good game. And I can honestly say that I hope BOTH programs are on the way back up. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Michigan's history/tradition. I know that everybody does not feel this way but I think that a good ND and a good Michigan are good for college football. It obviously survives regardless and is fun to watch and interesting every year....but I like it when the traditional powers (ND, UM, OSU, Miami(FL), Nebraska, FSU, PSU, Bama, etc.) are factors nationally.
GO IRISH -

I also agree with you in that it is important for both teams to be good and I do believe they are both on the rise. The fact that ND played well last week shows how good of a coach Kelly is. Michigan flat out stunk the past 2 years because of a new system. There is still a lot of football left but this weekend is going to be a great one. -
karen lotzJust saw that Dan Wenger's career might be over due to multiple concussions. That would be a sad way for the 5th year senior to go out.

sjmvsfscs08I'm at work sitting in the lounge waiting for the clients to finish (that's what she said) and I just read that signature and laughed so loud. I seriously just interrupted that meeting. I habe such a great job.
I think this game will come down to how well Crist and the receivers can tear up the Michigan secondary relative to Notre Dame's ability to stuff the run and contain the edges. -
sjmvsfscs08That said, i'd rather be in Notre Dame's position going into this game, but I still don't like the way they match up. An interesting game.
-
karen lotzDerek Roback will transfer to Ohio U.
-
sjmvsfscs08That's absolutely fine by me. Keep in mind he was committed to Toledo before Notre Dame.
This just frees up more scholarships; I like it.
If he takes Louis Nix with him, I will cry. -
Trueblue23I think the most important matchup in this game is Michigan's DL vs Notre Dame's OL.
If our defensive line can get a good amount of pressure on Crist, it would allow us to drop back more guys in coverage, helping our defense a ton. -
karen lotzOne good thing about Kelly's spread is the QB doesn't hold onto the ball long. Usually the ball is coming out on the third step. Obviously getting guys in passing lanes can have an impact but overall the scheme should allow Crist to handle it. He is still getting used to making quick decisions however, so its also important he makes the right reads before throwing.

rock_knutneI'm encouraged by what I saw from ND's defense, they played disciplined football and will have to do the same this Saturday. Kelly said the offense as a whole didn't execute and I expect them to make a big jump forward against Michigan but I also believe Kelly didn't show a damn thing against Purdue. The saying is you either take a step forward or backwards in your second game (something like that), I don't see a Brian Kelly coached team getting worse.
-
rock_knutneThis game may also feature the Cierre Wood coming out party. Allen is a good back but ND hasn't had a RB the caliber of Wood in a very long time.

I thought only players from UM transferred? -

You thought wrong. -

He wanted a shot at QB. That wasn't going to happen in South Bend.WebFire;476716 wrote:I thought only players from UM transferred? -
sjmvsfscs08Personally, on the Derek Roback matter, I don't know any words in the English language that can appropriately describe how much of a bad decision that is.
I would give my left nut for admission to Notre Dame. They don't have City & Regional Planning, and Ohio State is ranked 8th in the country so I'm more than happy with my program, but he's turning down admission into the Notre Dame circle to play quarterback at Ohio University for four years? Really?! I've considered hopping into the architecture solely for the purpose of getting a master's degree from Notre Dame.
Leaving Notre frickin' Dame to chase a silly dream of playing quarterback in the MAC is beyond ridiculous in my opinion. He's not getting good advice on the home front, probably idol worship from his friends and family hoping he's Ben Roethlisberger, Chad Penninginton or Bryan Leftwich. -

Even if he is Charlie Fry....it might be a good move....Got to have passion...if it wasn't there...it wasn't there. -
sjmvsfscs08Got to have brains too. Notre Dame degree vs. Ohio degree. Ummmmmmm.....

Going into a professional program such as Engineering or Medical I'd have to agree. Any of the social sciences or education? (which is probably what he's thinking) ain't gonna make a whole helluva lotta difference in terms of landing a job in today's market.
