I really don't see anything changing for next year other than Hall or someone else making getting a couple more carries a game.
i cannot get why in the world Tress rides Boom's nuts so hard. the guy has missed how much time this year and still has 8 carries more than Saine yet has 150 yards less on the year? I think he gets off on watching him run up the guards ass and get 3 yards. I honestly don't get it.

32 carries for 95 yards for Boom against Iowa
    11 for 103 for Saine
did you have to give it to the other guy 21 more times to realize he was getting 7 less yards per carry than the other guy? Saine's two long TD runs were the difference in the game.

Boom is the better back on 3rd and 1. But Saine gets big chunks of yardage or as they like to say "explosive plays". If you give it to him 20 times, he'll always get 100+yards because he's going to rip off a few big ones. Boom has shown ability to turn huge holes into 5 yard gains.

    I'm baffled.

Yeah I don't understand the fascination with Boom Herron either. Saine is more explosive and and actually looks like he is harder to bring down.

Let's reserve judgement. I've made the mistake SEVERAL times in recent memory of thinking we had a pretty good O-line, only to be embarrassed in bowl games by confusion and not being able to handle speed rushers. I want to see this improving line play someone really good (and not Iowa. Don't give me the crap about them being a "great defense" when they let us run all over them. Great defenses don't give up 200+ to average running back, even if our line had 3 Orlando Pace's on it). We'll see how well we can run and most importantly, pass block in the Rose Bowl, and if we show up and do it then, then i'll be ready to call them above average. Right now, they are "adequate, fair or passable" in the Big10, but they are not dominant. How that translates to teams from stronger conferences, we are yet to see.

I would love to see State use the little speed backs differently then they do the bigger bruising backs
