Probably all of them. Miami is the only good team on that schedule. Penn State will be down. Wisconsin may be tough, same with Iowa.

They shouldn't lose more than 1.

If OSU wins their bowl game, they could start next year off as a #1 to #3 team. I think Miami will be very good next year, and I have to say OSU loses that game based on their current history, but if they win that game, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't win out. The Big 10 won't be any better and OSU has most of their key guys returning.

I think they beat miami... their defense was terrible this year, and their offense got shut down by good defenses. I think they are beatable. The game that scares me the most is Iowa at Iowa. They don't lose anything and will be very tough. Depending on how our offense does or doesn't develop during the season will result in a win or loss IMO.

The away wisconsin game will also be a very tough test.

If Tressel loses to a Randy Shannon coached team...I will litterally throw up. The guy has loads of talent...terrible coach.

The thing that worries me roster wise is the defensive line. If we lose both Heyward and Gibson our great depth goes down in a hurry. Also if Rose doesn't get a 5th year we will be hurting very badly. We will have a bunch of speed guys on the edges and could be very bad against the run up front.

    I couldn't agree more.

they'll win 11 during the regular season, with a hiccup along the way (Iowa??)--and since that game is so late in the season,it may cost them the NC game..but maybe not!!!

Also of concern depth wise is the safety position. I have faith in Hines, but Johnson didn't look great in mop up duty this year, but everyone likes him. I would like to see Corey Brown step up and start next year. Safety is not a place you want inexperience or people learning on the job though. I was very impressed with Brown in the AA game... he really stood out.

    All of them

11 or 12 in the regular season.

I won't be surprised if they go to the national title game next year undefeated. The Big Ten is down, and I don't see it improving next year. Ohio State and Penn State are the only teams in the Big Ten worth national consideration.
  • rocket31
anything less than 12 wins will be a disappointment, imo, so it should be a national title year.

their second string could compete for the big ten title next season.

Bucks should be in the running for the NC in 2010.

I sure hope Jordan Hall gets more PT than he did this year.
I know he's a little on the small side, but he hits the hole quicker than Boom or Zoom and is definitely more elusive.

You have to find a way to start hall on the oline. He had made a huge improvement in the little bit of time he is getting this year.

You have to be joking... or know nothing about big 10 football. Penn State will be down next year after losing a lot on D and offense particularly linebackers and their starting QB. Secondly Iowa will return everyone and will be a top 10 team next year. Similarly Wisconsin returns a lot and will be top 15 top 10 team next year. Purdue will be dangerous as will Northwestern and MSU. Penn State will be good, but they won't even be the third best team in the confrence. The confrence should be up next year IMO.

I think 12-0. Outside of Purdue this season, Tressell teams almost always beat the opponents they SHOULD beat on paper. And that will be every game next season.

A significant amount of starting experience for Adams and Shugarts this year should pay huge dividends for the O-line heading into next season.

The D-line probably won't be as dominant (unless Heyward and Thad come back), but there is enough depth this year that it will still be solid. The linebackers and corners will be terrific.

The biggest things to me heading into next year are having Pryor progress as a QB, and having someone step up to be the defensive leader with Coleman gone.

    11 wins

11 or 12 in regular season

Iowa and Wisconsin, along with Miami scare me
  • chief_wigam
Didn't Lawerence Wilson miss close to 2 full years due to injury? Could he not possibly be granted a 6th year?

    This.

At Wisconsin scares me. Will probably be a night game since it is not in November. So I say 11-1 or dare I say undefeated?
  • Scarlet_Buckeye
OSU could easily lose to Miami, and you have to figure there will be a hiccup somewhere along the schedule.
