For how many years would you hide under a rock if your team had 9 consecutive bowl losses to SEC teams? Oh wait....

Football started whenever it favors Ohio State, the best school in the country. Now please, go root for ND next year, because its a young team, and next year they will be better, its always next year right? LOL

Clearly, none of these games mattered to Ohio State, otherwise they'd be 9-0. Pretty pathetic that OSU doesn't want to win games against the SEC and the SEC still can't even muster a winning record against the Big Ten LOL

I'm disappointed. You are usually a little more entertaining.

That's what I thought. Maybe you should take a couple more months off from here.

Like I said, if ND ever played in a conference, you know like all the best teams in history have, they would have ZERO NC's to their name. Must be nice to play cupcakes as your normal schedule(oh but we play USC, a team that's only been good the past 10 years LOL), and then claim meaningless NC's. Play Ohio State year in and year out, that's a guaranteed loss and you know it.

Rotinaj, I didn't buy into it either until I watched the Champs Sports Bowl.

The game took place in 50 degree Orlando. It was Miami versus Wisconsin. At gametime, the temperature in Miami was around 81 and the temperature in Madison was I believe around 19 or 20.

During the game, the Wisconsin players treated 50 degree weather like vacation, everyone wearing short sleeves. Miami, on the other hand, acted like they were playing in Alaska with everyone decked out in long sleeve cold gear, including their fans who were souped up in hoodies.

Miami played slowww that game and got beat down physically by Wisconsin.

I didn't buy into the whole cold weather argument until that game. I know 1 game is an extremely small sample size, but I think it's a pretty good representation of how southern schools react to colder climates, IMO.

You play Navy, Air Force, and Army, that's 3 easy wins. Then you play perennial powerhouses like Purdue, Michigan State, Syracuse, and UCONN, as well as few more patsy's like Western Michigan and Wichita State Then you wake up and get CLOWNSTOMPED by any real team you play like USC or Ohio State, or any team that finishes above .500 LOL

I agree Purdue was horrible last year.

    OSU didnt try that game.

I think OSU tried that game, but Purdue came out more focused. It's tough in the Big Ten where you have to get up every weekend to beat your opponent as opposed to playing teams like Ole Miss, Miss State, Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee, Auburn, Arkansas, or really any team in the SEC besides Florida, LSU, and Bama. Must be nice...

I don't think the argument is ever that the cold wouldn't affect a southern/western team. It is that the warm weather where bowls are played doesn't affect the northern teams. Cold weather might slow down a fast team (wherever they are from). But warm weather doesn't make a strong team...less strong.

The argument is always that northern teams are built for the cold and the underlying message there is that they are big, strong, and slow. So if it were cold, their power would then be better than the speed of the warm weather teams. That may be true, but it is still acknowledging that your power isn't as great as the other team's speed to begin with...and you are asking for some external advantage to "level the playing field".

I think sometimes the power vs. speed thing is over-generalized, but that is the core of the argument. In warm weather, both teams can apply their strengths and see which one is better. I never really hear anyone complain about where they played until they lose....and that is the biggest thing that makes it a lame excuse.

Um, yeah......The year LSU beat OSU for the title, LSU got beat by Kentucky and Arky. So, I guess osu was HORRIBLE. Auburn should be the 04 champs, but instead it was given to cheaters. Tennessee has the same amount of titles OSU has in the BCS era. Ole Miss was ranked pretty well a couple years ago. So, yeah.......we have Vandy and Miss State who are bad. The big 10 has MULTIPLE bad teams year in and year out.
Im ready for your next argument.

So you are saying Miami is really better than Wisconsin if the game is played in 70 degree weather? It was 50 degree weather that determined the outcome? LOL! Obviously Sleeper is a moron, but you are better than that. Miami was playing with a make shift offensive line and that is why they got dominated up front.

Actually OSU and Tennessee are tied with 1 each over the past 40+ years.
