stroupsDon't know if this has already been posted but I know he was a big recruit from Massilon

Trueblue23Yea that hurts. Turner was a BIG name when he signed with us. He came to campus horribly out of shape and never really recovered from it. Nothing against him or anything, but you would think a big time recruit like that would keep themselves in tip top condition.

OneBuckeyeLOL is that why he left? He could take BARWIS!??!

I never said that at all. What you just said doesn't even make any sense. He could take BARWIS!?! Are they gonna fight after school or something? Re-read my post.
I just meant that he could have probably had an impact last season if he would have shown up in shape. -
OneBuckeye^ Sorry I meant that to read he couldn't take barwis. As in he couldn't take his conditioning porgram. So he didn't show up in shape and that is why he left? I don't get it.
-
Trueblue23He showed up in bad shape, which is why he looked bad this year. Not too sure why he left, hearing a few different stories.
-
se-alumI was under the impression that Barwis could make anyone into a well oiled machine!?!?

daveCorner is going to be a huge weakness once again. With the injury to Troy Woolfork there's no experience at all.

GeneralsIcer89What I've continued hearing is that he skipped the voluntary practices all summer, and once the mandatory ones started, he was grossly out of shape and behind true freshmen on the depth chart. The coaches challenged him over it, and he asked for his release.

I don't follow Michigan closely at all, but I heard that Forcier was skipping the voluntary workouts as well. I know that they are "voluntary" and with Michigan's current situation with the NCAA they need to follow the book, but how could a senior leader not demand some of these young guys be at every single workout? I don't know how common that is, but it is surprising. -

Forcier is in classes over the summer, I'm pretty certain, as was Turner, but I've heard he skipped a couple, too. I think that was a part of his needing to regain the right to wear the winged helmet. -
stroupsI was reading somewhere that he is going to transfer to WVU

GeneralsIcer89Turner? Yeah, I've seen that as well. Makes me think it was grades, mostly, though he did indeed show up completely out of shape.

WebFireYep, he showed up out of shape, was buried on the depth chart, and decided to leave. Sounds just like someone I want on the team. What is wrong with these kids? And now with Woolfolk out, it makes him look like an idiot. He would have had plenty of PT.
As for the comment about senior leadership, there is plenty this year. They can't force them to work out, but they have definitely called them out for it.
