The Buffs are broke. That's why Hawkins is still around (can't afford to buy out his contract)

Yeah someone posted their athletic department's financial reports. Just saying its been a long fall from where they once were.

OSU scheduling a 4th non-confernece game for next year is sign to me that the Big Ten will not increase to 9 conference games and will stay at 8 for the time being.

But will they bring Ralphie? :)

Unless they use him/her for a few training table meals during spring practice, of course...

It may just be a security move as well. Since Delany still has his thumb up his ass regarding the conference alignment and schedule, just get a game on there in case 8 conference games holds. They may have an out that wasn't mentioned in this contract, or will just throw money at one of the 2 MAC schools as a penalty should they go 9 games next year.

I would think many others already have 4 OOC games scheduled for 2011 and they hold at 8 conference games for 2011 until some spots open in peoples' schedules.

They definitely won't be going to a nine game conference schedule next year. Pretty much everyone else in the conference already had four OOC games scheduled. OSU was about the last school in the conference with an open date. It would be way to difficult for every school in the conference to get out of one of their non-conference games in a year. If anyone already has three OOC games scheduled for 2012 it will be much easier to get out of them.
