Breaking News in the SEC!

  • Red_Skin_Pride
Ohio State University at Newark (a branch campus) has just organized the campus's very first football team. The team is a club sport, so it won't techically be a "varsity" team for OSU-N but they will be called the Titans (name of the varsity sports teams) they will compete in a league where all the other schools are D-III.

Every school in the SEC has called the OSU-N athletic department trying to schedule a game with the Titans, provided that OSU-N goes on the road of course. Ironically, out of all the SEC schools wanting to add the Titans to their schedule, it would actually improve the non-league strength of schedule for 6 of them.

    :D

This is bad news for the Big Ten, who is in dire need of reducing its collective strength of schedule. This is evident after going 5-9 against teams from BCS conferences, including losses to cellar dwelling Syracuse and Virginia, and also considering that MAC powerhouses Northern Illinois and Central Michigan are just a little too much. But last year just reconfirmed how the Big Ten is really the only conference to schedule over its head after the four MAC losses the previous season showed the landscape of college football has completely changed.

I do have some breaking news. LSU's future QB signed with the Dodgers in the last moments on the last day to sign. Zach Lee from Texas, a LSU signee was the future for LSU in football and baseball but got drafted 1st round in the MLB draft.

That means he got more than all but the first two picks in the draft, I think. Harper got 9.9M and Taillon got 6.5M and I'm pretty sure third was low 4s...so Lee used his football commit to really bend over the Dodgers.

I believe he fell late in the first round because people didnt want to waste a draft pick on him because they thought he would stay at LSU. He was actually rated a higher draft pick.
