First OSU Offensive play from Scrimmage
-
LJwhat do you think will be the first OSU Offensive play from scrimmage on Sept 2? What do you WANT it to be?
What I THINK it will be: WR Screen to Sanzo
what I WANT it to be: Bootleg and a deep pass to Posey for a TD. -

I agree with this. -
bases_loadedIt'll be a playaction deep ball to Posey
-
Cleveland BuckBoom Herron into the right guard's rear end for 1 yard.

I would usually say this, but i think Tress knows to get Pryor's confidence up real early. -
darbypitcher22Some sort of a blast or power out of an I Pro or I Con formation, or maybe even a sprint draw out of the Ace Back
-
Mohican00I'm thinking zone read but I'd love to see a WR screen or even a solid pick up on a curl route to start off the year

Won't happen as Saine is the starting RB. -
jpake1I think it'll be Saine going left behind Boren and Adams. I hope it's my favorite OSU play of all time-- the option pass-- the one Troy Smith made very popular his heisman year. That play is so pretty to watch unfold. If Pryor's deep ball has made strides, I think it'll be a popular play this year as well.

bogeyWe'll punt and play for field position.....ya know the punt is the most important play in football!!! haha! With Tress, I don't see much more than rb off tackle or Pryor out of the shot gun with a designed run.
-
Pick6I think it will be a roll out pass, however pryor will end up running it for about 7 yards
-
Red_Skin_PrideWell, think of the environment. First EVER weeknight game in Columbus, against a team that the Buckeyes are expected to handle easily with a QB who is supposed to be improving all the time. The crowd will be jacked, and OSU will be looking to take momentum early and never give it back...It'll be a pass. My thought is that they'll either hit Sanzo over the middle like the early play vs. USC last year, or it'll be to Saine on some type of sideline route out of the backfield. I would love to see them fake a WR screen and let Pryor air it out to Saine down the sideline, who conveniently slipped out of the backfield to act like he was going to block for the WR and turned it into a wheel route for 6.

ts1227I think everyone's covered it... the WR screen (I hate that play) for a gain of next to nothing or a short loss (the reason I hate it), or Herron/Saine right up the guard's ass.

Except that the Buckeyes ran them effectively against Oregon  -
FatHobbitthis should be on vbookie
-
OneBuckeyeDave power run to the right against marshall... We will probably run the same 10-15 plays against marshall.
Vs Miami it will be a PA dave play with smash routes. -

Maybe if we get enough repetitive responses they will make it an event on there -

You have the ability to make it an event on there (at least I think mods can) -
mellaWR screen will be the call. I've been to a number of opening season games and OSU has had a lot of 5 yard delay of game penalties as their first play of the season in the last few years, so this is my second pick.
-
chief_wigamPower O Left. Bryant Browning will pull and lead through the hole and not touch anyone, Saine for a gain of 1.
-
FiradFumblerooski
-
TheMightyGatorsA 12 yard sack.
-
WriterbuckeyeNot one of us called this right -- but then who in their right mind (that follows OSU) would have guessed a pass to the TIGHT END?
My God, THEY'RE ONLY FOR BLOCKING!!!!
