Red_Skin_Pridenot that impressed with Oregon? I think Oregon got a lot of respect for beating USC badly pretty early on in the season. However, we've seen Stanford destroy both of them since then, and right now, I'm watching them play Arizona, and Arizona's lines are dominating the Ducks on both sides of the ball. I think they're good, but they are not as good as many experts have made them out to be the last few weeks. Should they go on to pull this one out against Arizona, and win next week, I'd feel very good about the Buckeyes playing them in the Rose bowl. Arizona has some talent on their D line, but Heyward, Gibson and co. would eat Oregon's offensive line for lunch.
I still think the toughest matchup for OSU would be Stanford. I think we could hang with either of these two teams (Arizona and Oregon) and I've seen each play at least twice this year. -
ptown_trojans_1Oregon looks ehhh right now. They haven't really impressed me that over the past two weeks.
But, as for OSU's matchup, it could easily be Oregon St or Arizona.
Stanford is going to lose to Cal it looks like, knocking them out. Arizona still has SC next week, and Oregon has Oregon St.
The winner of the civil war game could potentially head to the Rose Bowl. -

Cleveland BuckTeams like Arizona and USC prove that you don't have to run the spread to have to a good offense. You can run out of the I and pass from under center and be just as effective as any spread offense. You can even have big lineman and succeed. Those lineman have to be able to block, and the QB has to be able to read a defense and throw a 15 yard post. You still have to coach them up, but you don't have to have small lineman and run the zone read to be a "modern offense".
