How Many UK Players get Drafted 1st Round 2nite?
-
cats gone wildI say 4 out of 5.
Orton is in hot water with UK fans, but it doesnt matter now.
And.......what would be better, Cal recruiting 5* one and dones or recruiting 4* 2-3 year players? He is always going to get the 5*'s but will he ever win the tourney with freshmen?
Debate -
GOONx19They'll definitely get four. If Orton doesn't go he'll be one of the first picks in the second round.

cview5 will get drafted in the first round IMO, and I'd prefer the 5* players even if you lose them year after year. In most cases, talent trumps just about anything else.
-
cats gone wild4 in the first 18 so far.

cviewImpressive by UK, but Florida's championship team had 3 of the first 9 selections in 2007 and UNC's title team had 4 of the first 14 in 2005 so it's not like they are doing something unheard of.

5 in the first round with 4 freshman is unheard ofcview;400702 wrote: so it's not like they are doing something unheard of. -
centralbucksfanAmazing...that much talent, and not even a final four to show for it. As for the debate...no one is going to turn down that freshman talent. But with a turnover like this, and if it continues, its a longshot a team can win a title with that many frosh. IMO, you need to hvae a good mix as far as talent, and experience/upperclassman. Thats pretty much been proven.

The freshman part is unheard of, having 5 first rounders is great but like I said, in the past 5 years Florida had 3 of the first 9 and UNC had 4 of the first 14. Both of those are just as impressive if not more impressive than Kentucky's 5 first rounders IMO.
