Should Auburn be the 2004 Champs?....Update BCS says Auburn cannot have title

ts1227Vacate the BCS title, and leave it vacated. Don't give it back out.
And "moron" is considered an attack now? That's a slippery slope we're heading down... -
Fab1bI just heard on Fox Sports Radio this is being discussed, stripping USC and awarding it to Auburn, sorry no link.

I have no doubts about it being discussed, but in all likelihood they won't give it to Auburn. The people who will have the ultimate say in the matter, the heads of the various bowl committees, athletic directors and university presidents are very conservative and unlikely to engage in revisionist history. It is far more likely that the title for 2004 will remain vacated than given to the Tigers. -
Fab1b^ I do agree with that

Pick6meh...let reggie bush keep his heisman, he earned it on the field. Let USC keep their national championship, they earned it. The past is the past, you cant change that. All you can do is punish USC in the future.

USC will lose '04 title, pending appeal (but Auburn still can't have it)

Last week USC contritely shipped out its copy of Reggie Bush's 2005 Heisman Trophy without a fight. The 2004 BCS championship trophy, on the other hand, won't be given up so easily. But BCS executive director Bill Hancock confirmed Tuesday that the Trojans' only BCS title will be vacated, unless their ongoing appeal of NCAA sanctions can somehow convince the association to reverse its stance on Bush's eligibility at the end of 2004.Hancock has said before that, no matter the outcome where USC is concerned, the '04 title won't be awarded to anyone else. Officially, there simply won't be a 2004 BCS champion.
