Big Ten is going to have to get over the fact that it hasn't been their "12-18 months" if they want those two teams. This is no longer happening at the pace the Big Ten wants it to. If they drag their feet because they think this is still happening on their terms, they're going to get burnt.

Do you think there is a real possibility that Texas could become independent, and TT and A&M would make the move to the PAC 10? Thus, breaking up the Big 12; allocating remaining teams elsewhere (MWC, C-USA)?

From an all-around perspective, Missouri and Nebraska would fit best in the Big 10.

From a money perspective, Missouri and Texas would be the best fit for the Big 10.

Personally, I'd take Missouri and only Missouri and call it a day.

I'd go with Missouri, Nebraska, and Rutgers to the Big Ten making the most sense.

13 team league just doesn't seem right. And you add the NY market.

Pac-10 commissioner Larry Scott is not wasting any time.

According to multiple sources, Scott will start extending formal invitations to six Big 12 schools as early as this week, although the sixth invitation still appears to be up in the air.

Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are getting invitations. But sources say Scott is still gauging the seriousness of a push in the Texas Legislature to keep Baylor with its Big 12 South brothers.

Oddly enough, Tech's wide open offense and lack of a stifling defense would fit well in the PAC10 most years. I can only hope it works, because it will create a domino effect IMO. a few teams leave for other conferences, the big boys (Texas, OU, Nebraska) are going to feel like the conference is going to collapse and will probably jump ship.
Jesus, there was so much potential in this post if not for my first line lol. Pretty obvious that the PAC10 is going to get 6 teams, we just don't know what 6 they will be. Colorado is already in, Ok State is all but inevitable, Tech probably is too. From there, it's hard to tell where they go. I know they want Texas, A&M and OU, but OU will likely end up in the SEC, and all the rumors I'm hearing right now are A&M and Texas are taking a long, hard look at the Big10.
