Azubuike24Syracuse #2 is usually a constant joke. They seat over 30K but never hit that mark.
I know UK could probably average 40-50K a game if they had the space. Many others could outdraw the Orange if they had the space. -

Agreed. I think an interesting look would % of capacity filled.Azubuike24 wrote: Syracuse #2 is usually a constant joke. They seat over 30K but never hit that mark.

I know IU is looking into a new arena (not for a long time, as they just build the multi-million dollar practice facility/locker rooms/study areas/etc) but in time. They are talking about upping the capacity to around 20k (currently at a little over 17k) -
ironman02Surprised to see Carolina at #5 with the season they had. I guess it doesn't hurt that the Dean Dome holds 21,000+, but I figured the attendance would be WAY down.

wildcats20I'm assuming these figures are based on tickets sold?? Didn't read the article.
That would be the reason Carolina is at #5. If it's just on tickets sold, then every season ticket holder who originally purchased a ticket for every game counts as a number in the total attendance. -

Ahh, I see now. That makes sense.wildcats20 wrote: I'm assuming these figures are based on tickets sold?? Didn't read the article.

swamisezACC comes in 5th because they have the smallest venues of the major college conferences.
Big Ten first because they seem to have the largest. With Louisville expanding and the Big East quickly building more viability in its lesser known programs, by sheer number of schools the Big East will be top dog in attendance in the coming years.
