Things You Will Never See When Watching Certain Teams

How far back did you have to find that poll? 2000? Loses credibility based on the Tiger/Sergio rivalry of the future ROTFLMAO.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL you're so stuck up on the bucks you don't have a clue. Sportsnation (ESPN) as recently as this past football season polled FANS about the biggest rivalry. The ONLY 2 states that said OSU/Michigan were Ohio and Michigan. I'm sorry I and the majority of college football fans in the country don't agree with you in the slurping of anything scarlet and gray.

I guess it takes a real big man to call someone a fucking idiot on a message board, huh tough guy?

I will say in our lifetime, you will never see a "New" Ohio Stadium or Big House
(by which I mean a brand new stadium)

OMG Karen OMG OMG OMG OMG I reported what was told to me in a locker room and then a college guy reneged on his answer. He's the first person in human history to change his mind. I completely forgot that changing minds is now banned.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/123128-the-10-best-rivalries-in-sports#page/9

    From 2009 has OSU/UM #3

    http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/04/28/two-college-series-crack-greatest-sports-rivalries-top-ten/

I suppose a professor from Nevada counts as someone from Ohio or Michigan right?

That list from ESPN loses credibility because it lists as a possible good rivalry in the future to be Tiger-Sergio? You're fucking retarded if you interpret that inclusion on that page to mean that it will become an all time great rivalry. That ESPN page listed the ALL TIME BEST rivalries, just because you're ignorant to the fact that OSU-Michigan is more national than you think, thus proving you wrong, doesn't mean that you're right.

Once again, ESPN is a national publication and they ranked OSU-UM number 1 among all time.

Since by now you're blind to the truth I'll simplify it for you ONCE AGAIN.

    ESPN (national publication)
    + all time
    +lists
    =OSU/UM #1 Rivalry.

And yes, I'm a tough guy for calling you out on your stupidity.
  • karen lotz
Yes I am fucking retarded because I don't agree with you about the almighty bucks. My god man did someone knock up your girlfriend or what?

The Tiger/Sergio thing was a joke, just like you. Of course he told you that in the locker room. I assume he was about to shower after the game and he saw you drooling when he took off his pants. He figured the best way to convince you to get on your knees and blow him would be to feed you some exclusive line about him coming back for his senior year so you could run back to your computer and post on this site. The sad thing is that all he needed to say was GO BUCKS! or start and OH IO chant in the locker room with other naked men to get you to service him.
  • lhslep134
Ah yes, the old I got proven wrong so now I have no other comeback but to make a gay joke. Sigh.
  • karen lotz
You proved my opinion wrong? Interesting. You have quite a career in sports ahead of you if can do that!!!!!!!!!!
  • lhslep134
You said no else in the college football world cares about OSU/UM.

ESPN encompasses the college football world.

ESPN + caring about OSU/UM = College football world caring about OSU/UM.

Sounds like you were wrong to me. You weren't giving an opinion, you were trying to speak on behalf of the countless millions of fans and sportswriters alike, whereas I found a group of sportswriters (ESPN) who give a shit about OSU/UM.

Soooooo yes, I'd classify that as wrong. And for the record, I have no interest in a career in sports, I'm content sharing the privilege I have now that no one else in the country has except professional sports writers.
  • CinciX12
The majority in Cincinnati don't even give a damn about the OSU/Michigan game. It seriously dies off that quickly, 100 miles.
  • karen lotz
Where did I say no one cares?

    I said
I'm sorry I and the majority of college football fans in the country don't agree with you in the slurping of anything scarlet and gray.
You are telling me the majority of people who follow college football give two shits about Ohio State? You are delusional. LOL at you finding a group of sportswriters. That panel could have been made up of Desmond Howard, Herbstreit, and Robert Smith. Congrats on your great investigative work.

My ex girlfriend sees that all the time. She actually excels at it. He shouldn't be proud of that.

Exactly, people outside of columbus have a real problem grasping this concept.

Again with the gay jokes. At least when I call you retarded are stupid I'm not being facetious I'm being correct.

To answer your question: being on the field during the Rose Bowl, singing Carmen Ohio with the team after we beat Oregon. Don't worry though, I'm sure ND can make a BCS game sometime, right?

Not to mention all the free City BBQ in the press box, the free mcflurries from the mcflurry machine, one on one conversations with Buckeye legends and media members such as Jay Mariotti and Pat Forde.

But yeah, I guess all I get to do is look at guys in towels.
  • lhslep134
Oh and to get back on topic, I doubt we'll ever see recruiting services die, unfortunately.

Yes I am retarded and stupid. Must have been an outreach program your beloved OSU's college of engineering was a part of went I got my degree huh?

Since you said "we" beat oregon in the rose bowl, could you tell me what position you play and how you contributed? I'm sure Notre Dame will make it to another BCS game eventually too, thank you for your kind words.

You truly are living a blessed life with free mcflurries. Are you 8 years old?

Lastly, Mariotti is the least impressive name drop in the history of douchebagedness. Is that supposed to prove to me how cool you really are? Please provide me with more examples so I can continue to rip you to shreds.
  • lhslep134
Clearly calling you stupid and retarded in the same line as me saying that I'm not being facetious is sarcasm.

You asked what perks came with the access I have so I told you. I could also name drop Eddie George Earle Bruce Joe Germaine but who cares. Besides, Mariotti was actually an awesome guy, but of course your only perception of him is from Around the Horn, I get it, don't blame you.

And who the hell doesn't love free mcflurries? I can't honestly believe you're attacking me for loving mcflurries, THE NERVE!!!

Sorry, but depleted 6-6 WAC teams doesn't count. What was it? The PapaJohns Sheraton Cupcake bowl? I think my high school team could win that, and my high school team is terrible.

I agree. I won't say OSU-Michigan isn't a great rivalry, because it is, but it isn't nearly as big as OSU fans think it is around the country. I remember being in a Florida bar one year and they had the UK-Tennessee game on the big screen and the OSU-Michigan game on a small TV in the corner. OSU-Michigan is as important in the state of Texas or Oklahoma, as the OU-UT game is in the state of Ohio. Rivalry games are important to the fans of the teams involved.

Auburn-Alabama is a great rivalry and some think it's the best in college football, but how many people in the North are planning their day around that game?

What used to make the OSU-Michigan game great, was because usually a lot was on the line at the end of the year for both teams, and it had some national implications as well. Now it's basically just an after thought that OSU will win.

In my opinion Oklahoma-Texas is now the biggest game in college football year in and year out.

College rivalries are regional except when both teams are in the top 5.

UND go undefeated. (not that I think the team is cursed to be bad, but it's harder to go undefeated when you play so many big games).
eh..usc..maybe pitt. maybe u can count michigan as a big game(even though not good). not very many traditionally tough opponents.
Let me guess, Michigan is a big game for OSU (even though not good), right? If you take Michigan out who would you consider traditionally tough opponents for OSU? Indiana? Northwestern? Minnesota?
Tradition wise it is a big game, but over the passed 3 seasons I haven't worried at all about the outcome of the game. Hell, last year the game didn't even matter to the outcome of our season exccept for bragging rights.

I don't think that but there are people in Michigan that do. Like I said, there is college football and life in general outside the state of Ohio. I know it isn't an easy concept for a lot of people on here to grasp. And you are ignorant if you don't realize this.
Eh, maybe MSU fans. For the most part UM knows their biggest rival is and always will be OSU. Which is why it is the final game every season for so long.
Little Danny wrote: From my experience, the OSU/UM rivalry is a way bigger deal to people in Ohio than it is for people in Michigan. That's not to say it is not a rivalry game for UM fans, it's just that the people in Ohio take it to another level.

The Michigan/Michigan St. game is a big deal to people in Michigan as well. When Michigan was kicking OSU'S ass every year under the Cooper years the Michigan State game became more heated for UM fans. I think know that the pendulum has swung back in OSU's favor and the wins are not coming for the people up north the games are getting more intense for UM fans. If OSU continues to dominate, I have to wonder when OSU starts looking at the Michigan game and saying[/u] "eh, our biggest rival is PSU'".[/u]
That has already happened for me. When I say PSU is our biggest rival, I mean it in terms of the Big Ten title on the line. Traditionally, UM is our biggest rival, but the PSU game has meant more for the better part of the last 5 years (except the 2006 season).
