Is Pryor going to be a better NFL prospect then Tebow?
-
sportchamppsI know Tebow went in the first round but he was rated much lower by many draft experts. What will NFL scouts think of Pryor?
-
charliehustle14Probably not because Tebow was projected as a late first-2 round player. I just don't see Pryor being projected that highly. I do think in this day and age when you see the Wildcat offenses, Pryor can definitely be successful as both a WR and as a guy who takes some snaps from the shotgun at the next level.
When you take size and pure athleticism into account, there's only a handful of NFL WR's who match Pryor in that aspect. Players like Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Randy Moss, old TO. So it'll definitely be tempting for an NFL team to take a chance on Pryor and try to use him in different ways, but it won't come in the 1st round and probably not in the 2nd round either. But then again, I never thought Pat White would be a 2nd rounder and Tim Tebow a first rounder, so I guess it wouldn't surprise me if Pryor ended up as a 1st or high 2nd round pick. -
thedynasty1998Not from what we've seen so far. His delivery is as flawed, if not moreso than Tebows. He just won't be able to make the throws in the NFL and his decision making is far worse than Tebow's.
The WR comment is interesting, as it's the path Matt Jones took. Pryor's measurements will blow everyone away at the combine and with his size he could be a threat at WR, however, no one knows if that's something he would excel at. -
jordo212000I'm not sure where TP will be drafted (probably not the first round), but I am pretty certain that he will have a better NFL career than Tebow. I don't see Tebow being a good QB and if I am right he doesn't have the speed, athleticism, or skill to play any other position. (A former QB is not play FB or TE in the NFL, I don't care what anybody says).
Pryor has the chance to improve his quarterbacking ability here in the next 1+ years to be a good pro QB. If not he can play WR and I sure he'd be a good one. -

Yeah, a guy who couldn't adjust to taking snaps under center, has poor mechanics, and has never played in a pro style offense is certainly going to be a better pro  hahagibby08 wrote: NO WAY IN HELL

wes_mantoothHonestly....I think both of them are going to fail miserably in the NFL.

cats gone wildHe should of stuck with basketball. He was a top recruit and verbaled to Pitt. If he played bball,, he probably would of had a better shot in the Pros.

SQ_CraziesFirst of all, lets drop the BS about deliveries and shit. There is no textbook way to throw a football that works for everyone--we've seen different guys be successful doing different things for years.
There are other ways to judge whether or not a QB will be solid at the next level, it's not rocket science. Figure it out.
Give me Tebow over Pryor. -
devil1197Tebow was drafted for pure publicity and sales

There isn't a team in the league that spends a 1st round draft pick on potential sales. -

They will think he might be able to help the team out at wide receiver.sportchampps wrote: I know Tebow went in the first round but he was rated much lower by many draft experts. What will NFL scouts think of Pryor? -

There isn't a team in the league? Pretty sure it was the Denver Broncos, why else would you spend a 1st round pick on a shitty Qb?SQ_Crazies wrote:

As far as the question, I'd take Pryor any day over Tebow. -
vball10setask this same question next year at this time...for now,I'll take him leading us to the NC.
-
Scarlet_BuckeyeNo. Tebow can at least go thru a progression. Pryor has no concept of this.

You're right in that no team in the League spends a 1st round draft pick solely on potential sales, but you are wrong in thinking that the effect of potential sales does not play into the equation at all.SQ_Crazies wrote:

WebFireI can't see Pryor succeeding in the NFL. And I am not just saying that because I am a Michigan fan. He just doesn't fit the NFL mold, ala JaMarcus Russell.
As far as WR, I really can't see a team taking MUCH of a change on him considering he's never played the position in college. In the NFL, you have to have more than just the frame to be a good WR. What would prompt an NFL scout to think he'd be a good receiver? -
77LegendCan't tell right now. If he stays for his Senior year, maybe. If he leaves after this season, no! I am glad to see that some Buckeye fans are being realistic and not being homers. Go Bucks!

But they see something in his ability, that is the biggest reason they chose him. POTENTIAL sales is about 100 times less important, especially in the 1st round. -

rock_knutneIMO, Pryor would be a beast of a WR in the NFL. As stated above, there's been plenty of college QB's who have went on to the NFL and had succesful careers as WR's. Besides Matt Jones......Antwan Randle El, Hines Ward and Arnaz Battle are just a few.
