I think he should get 90% of the carries this year -
devil1197Hmm, I said that Stoneburner would be incorporated more into the offense than any TE OSU has had in a long time. I was told that wouldn't happen, before I left for work he had 3 catches already.
Bauserman is now officially the #3 QB. -
LJ
It still remains to be seen. They will use the TE's a ton in spring then that doesnt happen in the fall. I mean, I HOPE that they use Stoneburner a lot, because he is a great weapon it seems, but we will have to wait and see.devil1197 wrote: Hmm, I said that Stoneburner would be incorporated more into the offense than any TE OSU has had in a long time. I hope they use Boren in the flats a lot this fall too. -
LJT Wash can't fucking catch... ARGH

LJBauserman is definitely #3 now

Yep he should have been last year there just wasn't really any other option. I like this Guiten kid. Well as I type this he may be done for the season.LJ wrote: Bauserman is definitely #3 now -

Scarlet_FeverThat was a nasty hit but he his walking on his own so that's a good sign.
-
raiderbuckThat almost ending in disaster for Guiton
-
BigAppleBuckeyeCan't watch the game today, can someone give me a few bullets of high points and low points today?
-
devil1197They will use Stoneburner, he is not the typical OSU TE.
-
LJ
I wouldn't be so sure of that. It's the same story every year. I HOPE they use Stoneburner more, but I am not going to put money on it.devil1197 wrote: They will use Stoneburner, he is not the typical OSU TE. -
devil1197Not so sure he is a different type of TE?
6'6 256 Ballard who had no speed or quickness to create separation between defenders
OR
6'6 223 4.45 40 Stoneburner with speed to get behind the LB covering him. -
LJ
Why would you even think that is what I am trying to say? What have I been saying all along? I wouldn't be so sure they actually use him more. They say they are going to do that EVERY year, but it doesn't happen.devil1197 wrote: Not so sure he is a different type of TE?

devil1197But we haven't had a TE like Stoneburner lately. Its hard to use a TE when he cannot get separation from his defender.
-
LJ
While he didn't have the speed that Stoneburner does, Ballard was able to create separation, plays just were not called all that often. They probably will use Stoneburner more, but that isn't saying much. The TEs had a combined 16 catches last year. If Stoneburner has 20, that's an improvement, but I wouldn't hang my hat on that. They have 2 great WRs coming back in Posey and Sanzo, so it all depends on how T-Wash turns out at the 3rd WR position. The most passes that TEs have caught at OSU in the past few years is 32, I don't see Stoneburner having 32 catches this year.devil1197 wrote: But we haven't had a TE like Stoneburner lately. Now, while they may not go to him all that much more than they have in the past, I do expect the types of plays to be different, probably a lot more seam streaks and so on. -
thedynasty1998I do think Stoneburner is a threat at TE that OSU hasn't had in awhile (ever) I don't know if that means they use him that much more.
Pryor does look to have confidence in him though, so there is a reason to be optimistic. -
devil1197Ballard wasn't nor will he ever be as athletic as Stoneburner.
The kid is 6'6 223 and runs a 4.45 40. -
LJ
You're missing the point, no one ever claimed he was. Although Ballard was a great athlete. OSU won't use Stoneburner as much as you are thinking. He will probably get a lot of his catches out of a tight slot rather than out of the traditional TE position. Like I said, the most catches our TEs have had in a while was 32 in 2007, and Stoneburner won't get that many this year.devil1197 wrote: Ballard wasn't nor will he ever be as athletic as Stoneburner.

derek bomarRicky Dudley was a beast.

Pick6Washington impressed me. Seemed like Posey was dropping some, even though Guiton wasnt really hitting him in the numbers.
