Why Butler Lost
-
NateA missed shot at 14:59 left on the clock holds the same statistical meaning as shot missed at :03 left on the clock.
Plain and simple. Both could cause you to either a) win the game or b) lose the game. Time isn't the deciding factor in the amount of points scored. -
mtrulzDuke just cheats and gets lucky breaks. They're nothing more than a bunch of white guys.

We are not just white guys. We are white supremacists. The black guys on our team? We dispose of them in barrels once the season is over and ship them to the Afro American portion of England. I thought everyone knew.mutrulz wrote:Duke just cheats and gets lucky breaks. They're nothing more than a bunch of white guys. -

Would you rather have your team:Keebler wrote: A missed shot at 14:59 left on the clock holds the same statistical meaning as shot missed at :03 left on the clock.

A. miss the shot with 14:59 left and make the one with :03 left or
B. make the shot with 14:59 left and miss the one with :03 left
You can say whatever you want, but 100 times out of 100 I want the made shot with :03 left because chances are it's a MUCH more meaningful bucket in terms of things other than statistics, which apparently are the only things that matter? -
vball10setWilster was right--what a tool....

Nate
Obviously you want case B BUT, missing shot A or shot B doesn't make one outweigh the end result anymore than the other. We are comparing missing 3 shots in the first couple minutes compared to missing 1 shot in the last second. I would rather make the first 3 because odds are, you wouldn't been taking the last 1 if you made the first three. Completely different ball game if they get those first 6 points. END OF THREAD.lhslep134 wrote:

Would you say you are more of the white supremacy type, neo-nazi, or skin-head crowd?reclegend22 wrote:

Considering I don't have a shaved head, I would eliminate skin-head crowd. If I had to pin it down to one term, I'd just say Hitler.CincyX12 wrote:Would you say you are more of the white supremacy type, neo-nazi, or skin-head crowd? -
georgemc80No rec,
you're wrong....the Duke jersey even makes the black guys slow and fundamentally sound..so we don't have to ship them off to England. -
swamisezBasketball prospectus would have you believe it wasn't the layups that did in Butler it was the loss of Nored and the subsequent drop off from Butler's defense.
"In fact, Duke won this game because they scored a point per trip. That's low by Blue Devil standards, but it was easily the best mark any offense was able to muster against the Butler D in the tournament. (Previous record: Syracuse scored 0.92 points per possession in the Sweet 16.) A combination of Ronald Nored being in some foul trouble, the multiple scoring threats at the command of Mike Krzyzewski, and the aforementioned Mr. Zoubek proved enough, barely, for the Blue Devils to outscore Butler (who by the way was remarkably consistent on offense in rounds two through six, scoring between 0.90 and 0.98 points per trip every time)." -
Heretic
Somebody's oblivious that two of the three Butler players who the average CBB fan may have heard of before their NCAA run (Hayward and Howard...with Mack being the third) are both white.mtrulz wrote: Duke just cheats and gets lucky breaks. They're nothing more than a bunch of white guys.
The quoted post is hilariously stupid regardless, but with that taken into consideration, it becomes even more hilarious. -
SportsAndLadyWith all the white guys playing in the title game, i wonder when the last game was played in the title game with so many white guys? It probably goes back decades..

Prescott
I think the Magic-vs-Bird game also had (5) white starters.(1979)Five white starters in 2010.
