You've never been to my site...but know that I've never written about the '80...did you just assume? I'll guarantee you've been there, probably watched it like a hawk like you did back in the old JJ days.

    So...about this regional record....we won 2 games in 1980...then didn't get back to regionals until 1992? 2-0 in 1992, 1995, 1996...1-1 in 1993.

That's 9-1....and i know we lost to Dover in the 1990 (I think)...so that would make us 9-2....and I'm certain that we made a regional appearance in the 80's.

I think the 10-1 record is slightly off....unless you're talking Fieldhouse only.....and even then, i think we've lost more than 1 regional game there.

I think you may be misremembering the game. Newton Falls was 1-2 from 3 in the 4th quarter which is (albeit by a smaller sample size) a better percentage than they shot for the entire game. East Canton on the other hand missed a lot of 3's in the 4th quarter. Also, leg fatigue was not a factor in their FT shooting as they made a high percentage of their FT's down the stretch to ice the game.

What people don’t understand is that The Field House is a big court. I have played many a game on this hard wood and it is bigger than most. Not like some of these schools are uses to playing on. This is where the beach and a strong play from the beach can be a game changer. Providing time for player to recover.
I agree, Orrville does have some very strong beaches.

My comment was based on purely observation of the game I had no access to the stats. What seems to be the action on the hardwood and what is stats at the end of the game can be different. The boys from NF did not have the same movement in the last quarter they had in the first three quarters. I understand that the game can wear on a player/team and that is my point the size of the court appeared to take a bigger toll on the main NF players. This is only my observation.

Belly35 is quite the scout and analysis man!

As for the other stuff, it makes me laugh. And no further comments on that..........at this time.

    GO RIDERS!

I believe Orrville beat an unbeaten Warren JFK team on a last-second shot in 1980.

When the 3's arn't dropping a team that cnaa' t pound it inside will struggle. Plusa good man D will challenge the feet getting set. Lots of driving then crazy looking in the air kick outs for the 3's. Nf lost a lot of games for all these reasons. They will not be fatigued as folks think. The y play a lot of guys. I hope Falls can win this one so a lot of those teams they beat with a few long range bombs late in their games feel they could have been there to if the ball dropped 1 or 2 more times. This district was weak and LaBrae could of been the team because they were really a better team on paper. But that is spilt milk. good luck Falls. Keep the comments to yourselves and let your playing do the talking

Eat what my friend. Was there something good at the game worth eating?
  • BRF
I suppose saying "eat that" was a little uncharacteristic on my part. I'm just elated about the win and that comment was meant for the "non-believers".
  • rrfan
Yea I believe he was talking to the "fan" of the falls team. I have never seen a group not cheer foor their own kids after the game was over. Very said. They had enough to say during the beating they were taking...Lol!

Riders we could not be prouder! What a game . Coaches, thank you for correcting the program. It needed it in the worst way!

Finally, the players thank you! You have more left in you and we will all be behind you as always. Leave nothing for chance. Do everything you can as you have alll season.

State Bound Riders!!! That feels good to type.
  • Flash
Well, we won and it was a team effort of defense and offense. We still had our moments in the last 5-6 minutes where we turned it over too, much, but were going to C-bus and thats all that counts.

  • 1_beast
    Congrats Boys and Staff!!!!!
  • Flash
Feel good for coach. Missed the shot of the night when Rocky and Sly hugged on the sidelines in the last seconds. Amateur! You could feel he was looking down.

  • Flash
The Orrviews crew was out in full force. RR1 was rubbing elbows with the county guys. Can't wait for his enlightening synopsis of the game.

  • Flash
Thought Sam Miller played well with 10 Pts. Jake and Zack had 23 each.
