Obviously subject to lots of debate, here's my prediction for next season, realizing that move-ins and move-outs may have a major impact on the 2010-11 campaign:
1. BOWLING GREEN: Bobcats should have won it this year.Three years in a row of losing more games than expected. Well, finally no way BG doesn't win the league fairly easily next year, unless key injuries or moves occur. As usual, BG will lose a player or two that could help them who decides not to play next year but with Orr, and the two Browns back (all 3 could be 1st team NLL) they'll be good enough in a big time down year in the NLL.
2. SPRINGFIELD: Blue Devils could be one very good post player away from competing well with BG. McFadden and Alexander will be very good again, and I know some will say with almost everyone back the Devils could be as good as BG.
3. PERRYSBURG: Finally, lack of player personnel catches up with Boyce and the Yellow Jackets. Lack of size a problem, and just not enough depth outside of several good guards/wings.
4. MAUMEE: Panthers played a lot of close games but got few wins this year. Have enough people tback o move up a couple of spots in the league, but still not all that strong.
5. SOUTHVIEW: Also a few players back and it is possible the Cougars could go as high as 3rd, but the prospects are not all that good.
6. ANTHONY WAYNE: Not sure why I place the Generals here, but they may be only marginally better next year than this season's 1-20 travesty.
7. NORTHVIEW: Wildcats could go higher to 4th or 5th if interest is regained at this school in basketball, but it isn't apparent.
8. ROSSFORD: Bulldogs had a special year for them but losing some of their heavy scoring from this year's team probably places them here for next season.
SUMMARY: The league could be bad enough that some extra hard work or a new move-in could jump a team several spots from where they might otherwise be expected to finish. This is my candid appraisal. This is an opinion message board. I'd be interested in other opinions and messages.
