IVC Sectional Showdowns......Picks

and i dont think it was as much of a bad night as good defense with wackerly, his shot attempts id say was under 3, def less then 5...but with no points he also had maybe only 1 turnover??? so he still did well even tho he didnt score...

OK, well, the radio guys said it was a TCC fan. I hope the fan didn't call the official another term for the extreme lower end of the GI tract. I can't stand people who have done that. :)

mea culpa---correction--you're right about Yoder. didn't get fired; contract wasn't renewed. either way, I don't think whatever happened 5 years ago affected his reffing this game. and you're right Pariah. When one is emtionally behind one team, there's no doubt one looks at the game--the reffing, the opposing players/fans/coaches, etc with different glasses than either the other team or an impartial observer. Best to not comment on such things, tho hard not to.
as for the second game, wasn't there, but listened to it on the way home. that 4th quarter sounded intense. you could tell both teams were not letting up. good comeback by TCC. As for wackerly; there are nights when the defense just plain takes you out of a game. if that's their intent, it can happen. it takes a good player not to force what isn't there, and do the other things that don't show up in the stats to help win the game. I'm sure that's what wackerly did, and it helps when you have other guys that can step up and contribute. probably whay malvern could win that game as their other guiys stepped it up.
as mentioned, two darn good teams didn't make it out of a very tough sectional.( and there will likely be 4 very good teams going at it again next year). hope the ivc teams can meet in the finals as well.

I thought the officiating was bad both ways, love Bonifants game, Schneiters hustle and tuff play and Bells leadership and demeanor on the floor.
Bonifant Sr needs to keep pie hole closed. Is jr's spin move a travel.........don't know, I like it but some fat ref at the Regional/State level may think so.
Luke is the real deal dude has been a player since 1st grade, had him in little league batted 800 or so if he made an out he cried he IS a competetor. Love Jalens game too, lunch box and hard hat is all he needs.
Should be interesting Wed night, I remember some years ago when Rosecrans said they practiced all year an extra 15 min for a district match up with Hiland, my guess is Shadyside has done the same this year. This could be their year but it will not surprise me to see an IVC showdown come Sat.

No pressure on the Hawks, but Shadyside has not faired well in football or basketball playoffs the last few years, in fact, I think Malvern has beaten them three times. It would be nice to hold that IVC tradition of ending their season :)

I'm for that. we'll try to carry on the Malvern tradition.

There is a serious point there... past failures can create a mindset that affects people in the present. A little more pressure, especially if things aren't going their way, as in, "here we go again". Important for Hiland to get off to a quick start to bring that into play.

I like that Hiland is somewhat of an underdog. Good position to be in.

Garaway beat Martins Ferry tonight. They are in the district finals. IVC not doing bad at all.

Malvern lost by 5 or 6 to Rosecrans. RC jumped out 9-0 in the first 3 min, but it was close till the end from there
