IVC Pickem Final Standings

  The make-up games are finally complete, and the IVC regular season is history.
  Without further ado, the Pickem results: (from worst to first)

  I've decided to extend 5 bonus points to jlghoops for his Nostradamus-like vision into the future--- essentially calling his "Babe Ruth homer/IVC finish"---with remarkable accuracy [except for that little trip up at TCC], so he officially ends up with 61 points.
  Unfortunately, after the (usual and customary) 3 administrative points are aded to the site administrator, who coincindently is myself, hoops still finishes in second place by one point: 62-61.
  In any other year 2nd place would still get you a great prize, but with the economic troubles the IVC Pickem Comittee has endured through this rough downturn, this year only the first place finisher ends up with a prize. The good news is, in addition to the traditional (large!) bag of soothing Ricola cough drops, a week-long trip to Hawaii has also been added this year. I am happy and proud to represent you all as I make that trip later this year!
  
  Thanks all for playing. I have probably one more year in me--maybe next year we can get a bigger group to play. And (depending on who finishes where) hopefully more exciting prizes can be awarded to finishers outside of first!
  
  Good luck to all IVC teams left in the tournament (with the exception of Strasburg this Saturday). Hopefully we can get one of us to the Schott.

  2nd place is just the first loser
  
  Someone will have to give me the same facts for Hiland and Garaway Seniors, but Malvern's Seniors finished their IVC careers with a 54-10 record against the IVC teams in regular season. Five of the ten losses were to Hiland(3-5) and three to Garaway(5-3). They never lost(8-0) to CV, NCT, Ridgewood, or Strasburg in those four years. They had one loss (7-1) to Sandy and one to TCC(7-1). Not only were they successful on court, they are all really good kids. I wish them the best of luck in college and beyond.
