Will Shadyside ever make it out of Districts with Andes at the helm?

The Tigers have arguably had the best team in Districts quite a few times, but playing not to lose has hurt them. Is there any chance this year might be different?

not sure I'd necessarily agree with them having the best team in the districts quite a few times and losing---maybe years and years ago, but not recently. i think they have been beaten by the better team the last few times I can remember. At least recently their strength of schedule may not have been as helpful to them as it might have been.
However this could well be the year they move on. I would think as of now they'd be the favorite to advance.

Shadyside has had good teams, but there schedule is typically weak. The IVC teams they run into or even Rosecrans play in a much tougher conference.

If there is ever a year where they should have a shot at getting out of the district....it is this year.

There are some decent IVC schools, but no great teams in that conference.

luckhardt's senior year I believe it was 05 was definitely the best team in the district, they would have beaten zanesville had andes decided not to play stall ball and play not to lose rather than playing to win...the year after that they also would have had a shot..

i agree that this is the year where they will have the best shot to get out of districts, competition is extremely down as well as talent...hiland will be a challenge in districts though

Hard to beat a team three times in one year.

Congrats on the undefeated regular season. Rare in high school basketball. The rarest of all are those undefeated teams that make it to Columbus. Many an undefeated team fall by the wayside along the tournament trail. Good Luck.
