Should the javelin be an approved event in high schools?

  I threw the javelin in college years ago at an OAC school. Many of the guys I competed against were from the east coast and had been throwing since high school. If they can throw in high school, why not here?

  yes it should be a high school event. That along with the hammer and triple jump.
