D-I Sectional Tournament at Liberty-Benton

Six teams in the sectional include Perrysburg, Bowling Green, Findlay, Lima Senior, Springfield and Anthony Wayne. Here's a summary of the teams and their prospects:
PERRYSBURG -- Yellow Jackets (15-1) will get the No. 1 seed no matter what happens this week.
BOWLING GREEN --Bobcats (10-5) may have the edge for the #2 seed despite a six-point loss to Findlay. BG should enter the drawing at 12-5 with wins on Northview and Pickerington Central this week.
FINDLAY -- Trojans (9-7) likely to finish 11-7 with games versus Napoleon and Lima Shawnee, although Napoleon beat Findlay 51-44 earlier. Findlay could get the nod over BG but the Trojans have some losses against mediocre teams and BG does not.
SPRINGFIELD -- Blue Devils (10-4) could enter the drawing at 13-4 or could be 10-7 with games against Wauseon, Southview and Eastwood prior to next Sunday. With two losses to BG I can't see Springfield higher than #4, especially with a relatively weak non-league
    schedule.
LIMA SENIOR -- Spartans (8-7) have lost five straight games and are in the tank. They are likely to be 9-8 after contests against Marion Harding and Sandusky this week. Still a dangerous team but they have issues, obviously.
    ANTHONY WAYNE -- Generals (1-14).

**SUMMARY -- More unpredictability in this sectional than just about anywhere. Perrysburg is the best of the group, but not by all that much. Findlay is uncharacteristically weak at the guard spot but has size and a fine coach to put a game plan together. BG is playing well and talented. Springfield is heavily reliant on two players but they are good enough to challenge the best of teams. Lima Senior is capable of a lot of things -- good, bad and ugly. Potentially not an easy team to prepare for. If BG and Perrysburg draw away from each other, I see both getting out. If not, the next likely survivor might be Springfield which is that much more athletic than Findlay.

Wow, any of the top 4 teams could wind up winning this thing.

Two teams will come out of the Liberty-Benton Sectional, so the draw will have an impact on just who that is. Springfield went to 11-4 with a 10-point win Saturday night over Wauseon. I wish others would put together a pre-draw analysis of the various Sectionals as Ross Ford has done. Right now I see Perrysburg and BG winning sectional titles here, but I think 5 teams have a shot.
