Northwest Ohio 2010

Im pretty sure they played a few tough teams. I know they usually play a handful of bigger schools and some quality smaller schools. Usually Elmwood and Genoa in years past have always been represented well in the state poll with good starts. Elmwood lost a couple early but I think they have won 19 of their last 20 or something outraegous like that.

Early in the season they took their annual trip to Tennessee. The competition down there is usually very good. They lost 2 games down there by 1 run each. From talking to one of the parents that was down there, both games could have easily been wins. Their 3rd loss was against Findlay. They were up 6-4 in the 6th and ended up losing that game. My point is they are that close to being undefeated. I don't know why they haven't recieved the recognition this year. They have in past years.

Eastwood over Tiffin Columbian 10-6 tonight. The Eagles scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th in with the big blow a 2 out grand slam by Clayton Ruch. Rolf pitched the complete game and got around some shaky defense (3 errors) and hit a 2 run bomb in the first.

The NLL has 4 teams (1/2 the league) playing in district final game today. And atelast 1 team will move on to regionals. Tell me how many other leagues in Ohio can say something like that?

it's nice to see that coach Mouch at Southview was able to do something with this team that he coudn't do with his overhyped team at SJJ in '07--win a district title....this Southview team not only has the talent, but unselfish players that realize the TEAM is the key to their success--good luck in the regionals,Cougars!!!

Clear Fork over the Royals 6-4.

congrats to the Fighting Irish---and a special congrat's to the Mielcarek father/son combo...every parent who is coaching their son/daughter should follow coach Mielcarek's blueprint-- have your kid EARN their position on the team (not hand it to them), and not only will the other players respect the coach AND player more, but it will promote team chemistry and keep the team dynamic in tact....a certain city league parochial team a couple two-three years ago would have benefited greatly by this philosophy.
again, great job by Coach Mielcarek and his CCHS baseball team--City Champs again!!! ;)
