    Kidding aside, you gotta love how every year Dover is competitive because of defense. I wish Philly had a coach like VonKaenel(sp?)

    It must suck to have a Jr High girls team decimate your varsity boys....LOL - jk

    This has been a battle on every possession and is coming down to who has the ball last.

    haha...I am not a Philly fan, I just live here. I grew up going to a small school. I just watch the Philly sports programs and shake my head.

    haha...I am not a Philly fan, I just live here. I grew up going to a small school. I just watch the Philly sports programs and shake my head.

    Very physical game. Officials let this one get out of their control early and never really got it back. At times not much basketball was being played. Should be interesting if these two teams meet up in the postseason.

    What an exciting game to watch - everyone on edge right from the start. That gym was electric!
    Extremely physical game and, unfortunately, a bit ‘dirty’ from time to time. A couple of the JG players displayed some ‘attitude’ you’d NEVER see in a VonKeanel coached team. (Just one of the many admirable aspects of Bob’s approach to coaching) However, it did inspire the home crowd and it must have been great for the Dover boy’s to hear that crowd support behind them all night.

    Dummermuth played a superb game - he’s a consummate team player. And a real gentleman as well, it’s was pleasure to watch how he greeted his opponents after the game.

    JG’s Jake Heagen, unlike a couple of his teammates, brought his superb skills to the floor without any attitude. His play was another pleasure to watch.

    Can’t wait for the Coshocton game - should be another thriller!

    John Glenn was simply ice cold from the field. They had opportunity after opportunity to win this one and couldn't hit a clutch shot. Their defensive strategy was very sound and that's how you compete with Dover..............be physical ALL GAME LONG and you have a shot. Get up in Monaco's face and get him frustrated. It almost worked.

    Yes. Blatantly obvious on the video. We'll probably not hear anymore about it up here. However, I'd like to hear from some JG fans if the kid gets any punishment for that - would speak volumes about the integrity of the JG coach.

    I'm not a JG fan but, haven't heard of any penalty. Several local coaches have the tape and I've spoken with people that have seen it. Basically a 1-2 punch from behind to the kidneys. Once I heard what happened it was easy to guess which kid it was.

    From the description I've gotten, it goes well beyond physical basketball and borders on assault. The kid is over 18....

    Jake Heagan has really improved his skills this last year. He's playing under control and is one of the best around!
