Bowling Green 58 Maumee 31

It was no contest. THe Bobcats played one of their best games in quite some time as they dominated the game from the opening tip. Chauncey Orr was on fire all night as he had 26 to lead the scoring, but this game was more the style of offense employed. there was no standing in one place watching one person dribble around. Crisp passes and a great team concept overwhelmed the Panthers. A poor defensive effort aided the Bobcats, but clearly BG was the better team tonight. the Bobcats were without their starting point guard, Xavier Brown, but the kids off the bench played with great enthusiasm and showed that the Bobcat bench is better than had been thought by some. Perhaps there may still be a race for that NLL Title.

Yes I will admit BG played well tonight but no better then they did the 1st time these to met. As I recall that game ended it a 13 point loss for the Panthers. The only real difference from this game to the last one IMHO was the lack of intensity from Maumee, it was really dissappointing to watch a team play with seemingly no emotion through much of the game.

Tend to agree with NLLBest. Maumee just did not show up. Period. Orr was great on the offensive end, but it was like open gym against a disorganized second-string JV players. BG did pass the ball faster and better, and it is unclear whether that is a reflection of their point guard (X Brown) being out or just a better team concept vs. their awful offensive performace against Perrysburg. BG will be in the top 3 or so all year in the NLL, but it still looks to me like they will end up below expectations again this season. How well they do will depend in part as to whether Springfield and Southview are able to compete with them (all three are 3-1 in the NLL). I have no idea yet what to think of the Devils and Cougars.
