Kent State is really putting themselves on top, they keep getting most of the top pitching prospects in the state

How strong is the Horizon Conference?

Traditionally the Horizon is not a very strong conference.

Kent St. - usually gets some of the top recruits in Ohio that decide to play college ball in Ohio.
UC - has made some strides in recruiting recently and have brought in some nice players.
OSU - seems to have an arrogance about them when recruiting, we are OSU you should want to play for us type of thing.
Miami - has put together two nice recruiting classes from the HS classes of 08 and 09.
Xavier - Don't know too much about them but some of the recruits from 09 class seem to be very unpolished and may or may not work out for them
OU - personally I think Carbone is past his prime and they need a change but IDK if that will happen.
Toledo - turning things around. Nice HS class of 09 recruits
BG - I don't know too much about them but they can hit. Tend to recruit kids from NW Ohio.
Akron - under .500 with Bangston at the helm

I've heard several comments confirming your assessment of OSU Fred. That's a shame.

Didn't Dayton or Wright State (maybe both) win their conference last year, either regular season or tournament?

I did not intentionally leave Dayton or Wright St. off the list I was just going off the top of my head.

Dayton did win the regular season league championship, I just don't know much about them.
Wright St. is a nice program as well and are still building, they usually play a very tough non-conference schedule.

Coach Bangtson(AKRON) now getting more recruits from other states. Things starting to look a little better for the ZIPS. I'll let you know for sure next year!
