Mr. 300
I agree Flash. I have a feeling the champ will not go undefeated this year like last year's West Holmes club. The 3 will more than likely beat up on each other, with Lex possibly playing a spoiler somewhere down the road.Flash;1022962 wrote:I think the Wooster girls will have a say in this. Lex is good, but has a tough schedule with a lot of away games with contenders. -
ricolaI think Hiland's bowling team is looking for a good transfer to put them on the map!
-
PariahWe have bowling? I need to read the papers more often.
-
Mr. 300Zip it you two!
-
Mr. 300Lady Knights roll Clear Fork 59-29. Snyder with another double/double and Morrison off the bench with 13 to lead the way.
-
PariahListened to that one. It was out of hand early in the second qtr. I'll give you that the OCC is better than the IVC with the middle teams, but you guys have some stinkers in there at the bottom too!
It's the way girls basketball is. There are too many schools that have no developmental program, and don't really take it that seriously. They seem to roll out the ball in October and when they play a team like WH who has been working at it all year, they get killed. There are many more good programs out there than 20 years ago, but there are still some really, really bad ones too. Too many. -
CCRollyFrom Millersburg....Wooster 46 West Holmes 45. Just in case anyone missed it.
-
PariahThat one hurts because WH still has to go to Wooster and Orrville yet. Looks like those 3 teams will make it a very interesting, possibly brutal, push to the OCC championship.
-
Mr. 300About time those seniors for Wooster finally decided to play some ball. With all that leadership up against an extremely young Knights squad, I fully expected the outcome. The big three will pound on each other, and I would not be surprised to see Orrville beat Woo first round.
Learn from this one Lady Knights! -
CCRollyScary thing is Wooster didn't even play one of their better games last night.
-
From the Hills
Disagree. Wooster did play well. They played a physical game and the Wooster girls seemed to fill their roles well, a credit to coaching.CCRolly;1031632 wrote:Scary thing is Wooster didn't even play one of their better games last night. -
CCRollyI never said they didn't play well, but that they are capable of playing even better.
-
FlashWooster has Hiland tonight and Orrville Saturday.
-
PariahI watched some game film on Wooster. PG, #5 is a really nice player. Handles the ball exceptionally well and applies a lot of pressure and traps on defense. #32 is very strong in the paint offensively. The other girls seem very solid. They do a 3/4 ot 1/2 court trapping press and get a lot of to's with it. In the half court they zone with their guards extended way out to pressure the ball and sometimes they trap. Their pressure creates scoring opportunities in the full and half court if you get past the trap. They did not shoot from outside that well in the game I saw, particularly from 3. Looking forward to seeing them tonight.

CCRollyWooster 48 Hiland 43. Lady Generals have at worst clinched a share of the Holmes County Championship.
-
Pariah
LOL. Yeah, they are pretty good. I was impressed.CCRolly;1038193 wrote:Wooster 48 Hiland 43. Lady Generals have at worst clinched a share of the Holmes County Championship.
The remaining games between Wooster, WH, and Orriville will be really, really gooduns. -
Mr. 300Lady Knights bounce back and pound on Mansfield Sr last night. I look for Orrville to win the first round against Wooster and leave the top 3 with one loss each after 1st round of games. Now, if Wooster wins that 1st Orrville contest, then they're gonna win the league in my opinion. However, those 3 teams are so evenly matched I could see a 3-way champ named at the end of the season too.
-
CCRollyWooster will have to bring a lot more than they did last night at Ashland.
-
Mr. 300
That's to be expected. A huge road win against WH and they may have let it down a bit, plus Orrville's on the horizon. I would not be too worried at this point nor read much into that game. Everyone has them , and it was a win. No big deal.CCRolly;1041044 wrote:Wooster will have to bring a lot more than they did last night at Ashland. -
Pariah
They just came off 2 big emotional and taxing games. A little bit of a letdown was predictable.CCRolly;1041044 wrote:Wooster will have to bring a lot more than they did last night at Ashland. -
CCRollyWooster 50 Orrville 46.
-
CCRollyWhen does West Holmes go to Orrville? Big game for both teams that night.
-
FlashThis Saturday at 2:30. If Orrville loses they're eliminated in all probability from the conference title.
-
CCRollyOrrville/West Holmes score?
-
Luckyone959West Holmes 69 Orrville 55
I am guessing that WH made at least 14 3 pointers. Or maybe more.
