Maumee ....... They showed me something in the BG game. Rossford destroyed the Devils.
Bowling Green**.....They will have to play better to win this one on the road. By four or five.
Rossford......They have some athletes and obviously they still have those shooters.
Perrysburg....Northview fans may want to bring a good book.

** 2 Point Game of the Week

    Saturday, December 12th

Waite.....I'm really tempted to take the Panthers in this one, but we'll play it safe.
Rogers....This one could get really ugly, really fast. AW appears to have a lot of problems.
Bowsher...Northview will win a couple early that will surprise people. Not this one.
Rossford.....Break up the Bulldogs. They may be for real!! They always play hard.
Bowling Green....These guys have an opportunity to have a huge year. We'll see!
  • phbobcat
Maumee over Sfield - Maumee impressive in BG loss; Sfield dissapointing in loss to Rossford
Southview over BG - BG cant match up inside
Rossford @ Anthony Wayne - Long year ahead for AW
Perrysburg over Nview - NLL Champs

    Saturday, December 12th

Maumee over Toledo Waite - Tossup
Toledo Rogers over Anthony Wayne - Earl's boys win
Northview over Bowsher - Another Tossup
Rossford over Swanton - Rossford big
Findlay over BG - Tough to win in Findlay.

Maumee over Springfield....Ill take Maumee by 17, They did play very well against BG and can play better. I dont see Mcfadden and Alexander getting springfield many wins this year.
Bowling Green over Southview**...BG by 15, This will never be "close", the paper didn't mention the fact Dible was the only person to make a 3 vs. Maumee. They will shoot the lights out at Southview.
Rossford dominates Anthony Wayne....Rossford by atleast 20, A-W doesn't have a chance with one scorer on thier team (celusta)
Perrysburg dominates Northview...PB by +20, Top 3 finisher in the NLL vs Worst team in the NLL this is no brainer.

    Saturday, December 12th

Maumee over Toledo Waite....maybe an upset, Barnum and Contat down low will get a lot of easy buckets and boards.
Toledo Rogers over Anthony Wayne....a lot to a little
Toledo Bowsher over Northview...Bowsher will win easy
Rossford over Swanton...Dont know much about Swanton so Im going with the NLL
Bowling Green over Findlay...BG should win, Maumee played one and scrimmaged the other and I think BG was clearly better.

P.S. Dont even worry about the Austrian for BG he was the most overrated played I have ever heard of going into a game. He went 0-2 shooting with probably less then 8 boards.

    Tuesday, December 8th
    Springfield over Maumee by 3
Bowling Green over Southview by 5
Rossford over Anthony Wayne by 12
    Perrysburg over Northview by 24

    Saturday, December 12th
Toledo Waite over Maumee by 4
Toledo Rogers over Anthony Wayne by 22
Toledo Bowsher over Northview by 8
    Rossford over Swanton by 9
Bowling Green over Findlay by 7

Note: 6'-8" Austrian kid at BG is not as good as 'speculated'. Nobody had even seen him play, yet everybody was naming him 1st Team All-League based upon message board gossip. When/if he learns to play American-style basketball, he could possibly be a factor. Seems like a real ice kid.

    Dec. 8th:
*Springfield over Maumee by 6. --Blue Devils can't be 26 points worse than Rossford. If so, loooong season in Holland.
*Bowling Green over Southview by 9. --Bobcats just need to remember not to rely too heavily on the "three".
*Rossford over AW by 10. --AW will win one NLL game this year but it won't be against my Bulldogs.
*Perrysburg over Northview by 22. --Yellow Jackets just can't be quite as good as weekend #1 might suggest. But this one is easy.

    Dec. 12th:
*Waite over Maumee by 10. --How did Waite lose to Fremont Ross (which lost to Clay). That's why we play the games.
*Rogers over AW by 30. --Rogers is not that good but the Rams' speed will be a nightmare for AW.
*Bowsher over Northview by 11. --Can't be many fans wanting to suffer through this one. A rare and ugly Bowsher win.
*Rossford over Swanton by 12. --Another game that should continue to build the Bulldogs' confidence for tougher games ahead.
*Bowling Green over Findlay by 10. --Findlay is not very good at all. This margin could be worse than this, but Findlay has a good coach.

...None of us should put too much stock in one weekend. Perrysburg can't play at that level all season. Gant will have problems when teams realize they need to focus more on him. BG coaches know the 6-8 Austrian transfer is better than he showed Saturday night -- that's why he's there afterall. This was his first game in a new system in a new country. And Springfield has just got to be more competitive than that or the infighting will get ugly there. Overall, by Christmas we'll have a lot better idea where everyone stands.

Good Morning, NLL pollsters! Game Day has arrived and you still have time to get on board and join us.
More outstanding contests and you have time to jump into our Poll! Entries for Tuesday's games are due by 7:00pm tonight. Anyone that is a fan of the NLL or a particular team in the NLL are welcome to be part of it.

    Bowling Green 63
    Southview 49
So much for this never being close Southview led 21-19 at the half but the experince of BG showed and they pulled away in the 4th quarter.
  • Swamp Fox
BG has a very nice ball club and so does Southview. Every game will be a war and that's what makes the League so interesting this season. BG needs to get ready for the Trojans next, and they will be tough as nails also. It's never easy to beat Findlay, particularly on their home court.
  • rmolin73
That is the truth about Findlay since I saw how good BG is I'm changing my pick for Saturdays game.

I hope you are right, rmolin73 because you and I now have the same pick in the BG-Findlay Game. :)

Speaking of NLL Picks, after Tuesday night there are four contestants within one point of each other and most of those have some differences on their Saturday picks. Saturday's games will be very interesting. There were several perfect sores on Tuesday. Specifics will be posted on the Nll Week #2 Results thread. Good Luck to all on Saturday night.

Just a brief reminder that if there are anymore freehuddlers who are with us and are fans of the Northern Lakes League basketball Season and would like to participate in our poll, tonight's non-league schedule concludes our second week and the poll closes at 7:00pm. There are currently 12 people participating and we are always looking for more folks to join us! The games for tonight are listed in this thread.
