Any updates? Can they get any games in with the weather? How does Coach Wilker have my Flyers looking?

The SLL was formed in 1972 by former members of the Northern Lakes League, Sandusky Bay Conference and Lakeshore Conference. In May 2009, however, Rossford agreed to form a new league with Eastwood, Genoa, Lake, Otsego and Woodmore, all of whom are withdrawing from the SLL.

Apparently Lake is playing pretty well, they beat Elmwood Wednesday night to move to 8-0 in the SLL. Still have another game left with Elmwood and 2 with Genoa.

Elmwood beat Genoa last night for a Sectional Championship 12-5.

District semi at Defiance next thursday against Archbold I believe.

Eastwood advances to the Regional semi's at Tiffin University. Pulling a Gibsonburg right now...
  • karen lotz
Unreal. 9-17? What was Gibsonburg's record at that point?
  • birddog23
Going into regionals in 2005 Gibsonburg was 10-17. In Eastwood's defense though, they have lost probably close to 10 games decided by less than 2 runs.

Eastwood was supposed to play this afternoon right? I assume it was postponed?

Yes Eastwood plays today now at 2pm. Freshman Nick Vespi will be pitching for the Eagles.
