maddmindevergreen should be good and ph has a lot comin back...
also old news...alabata is NOT playin for bryan this year. -
oberhausCheck out www.ohsn.org There are a few PH and NWOAL huddlers on there.
As far as I see Archbold and Evergreen look to be tops in the league...but its still gonna be a below average year. -
oberhausI'm hoping PH has a good year...another year or two like last year and the PH fans might get a little restless.

doggydeeAs I've stated here before, I think Delta has the talent to compete for a league title. Don't know if they will, but I think they could win 13-14 games overall this season. 2 solid seniors (Turner and Jackson), 1 solid junior (Beverly) and 3 inexperienced but talented big men (Salsbury-jr., Green and Callahan-sophs) could mean good things for the Panthers.

Swamp FoxTraditionally, teams such as Patrick Henry don't stay down very long. This may be a major step up year for the Patriots. Archbold has tradition on their side and Evergreen has had some very nice athletes over there the past few years. I'll have to see it to believe it as far as Delta's chances are concerned. You never know about Bryan but something tells me they are not going to be the equal of their football squad this past fall. I'll get back after I see something about the other clubs. I think it could be a bit of a dog fight to determine the League Champion this season.

Little Giant 21I was told Evergreen took it to both Sylvania and Fremont St Joe last night in their scrimmage. Evergreen appears to be very strong coming in to this season.

I was wondering which Sylvania team we're talking about here?Little Giant 21 wrote: I was told Evergreen took it to both Sylvania and Fremont St Joe last night in their scrimmage. Evergreen appears to be very strong coming in to this season. -
maddmindarchbold looks like they could be very good...evergreen and archbold battle for the title

doggydeeI've heard that Bryan has looked pretty good in scrimmages. I had heard that Nossaman is playing but didn't get any info from Bryan's website. If he is, he could provide some size and definitely some physical play if he plays down under. I said on "the other forum" that I didn't think Bryan could challenge for league, but have heard otherwise by people who have seen them play. Does anybody have any thoughts on the Golden Bears?

Rolly67Archbold has 8 of there 11 varsity players back plus Morton and I heard there is a 6'7" player...maybe Kameyer(sp?)
-
Swamp FoxCan we get someone with close ties to that league to run a poll for the 2009-2010 season? I competed in the football poll last fall for the first time and really enjoyed it.

doggydeeEvergreen is the real deal. They beat Archbold 76-64. 76 points from Evergreen?!?! I couldn't believe my eyes. They pushed the ball the entire 1st half. Kind of careless with it, but when you shoot 63% for the game and Mossing throws in 42 with 21 in the 4th quarter (!!!!!), you can do that. Archbold couldn't throw it in the ocean in the 1st half and got down 38-16 at one point before they started to warm up and ended the half on a 7-0 run and eventually cut it to 4 at the end of the 3rd before Mossing took over.
Delta over LC 50-25.
PH over Swanton. Can't remember the exact score, I think it was by 9.
Wauseon over Bryan, 50-45....I think.
I'm thinking I underrated Wauseon and overrated Bryan. -

doggydeeI have seen all these teams play this year and this is my unbiased assessment for the rest of the year. I don't have a dog in the fight, I just call them as I see them.
I think Wauseon is going to have a solid season. I know that seems like an obvious statement seeing how they are 5-2. But I can see them getting at least 9 more wins to put them at 14-6 and I did not expect them to get that many wins. Their guards seemed to be doing the job to help their inside game so far.
Maxell Smith on WMTR didn't see anybody beating Evergreen this year. They shouldn't have lost to TC and they should have beaten Swanton A LOT easier than they did on their homecourt, so who knows what will happen the rest of the year. But they should be favored to win every game the rest of the season. They probably should go 19-1.
Archbold has Continental next and then they won't be challenged again until the end of January when they go to Defiance. Archbold could also go 19-1 but I see them going 17-3. With possible losses vs. Continental and Defiance.
Delta has started out well, but that loss to Hilltop has me bewildered. They have a BIG test coming up next week when they host Evergreen. Don't let the fact that it is at Delta fool you, they rarely play well against Evergreen. Delta's schedule is bottom heavy and between January 23 and the rest of the regular season, they have Wauseon (twice), Springfield, Archbold, Evergreen (again, on the road) and Tinora. They could go 14-6 but they will have to get Wauseon at home to do that and then travel to Tinora and win there as well.
