Regional Meets

stationrunThis site is way too dead!!
Nice job by the girls orangechik & ccrunner!
So who is looking good to get out of the various regions next week?? -
said_aouitaIt is dead. Unfortunately I've not been around much either the past few weekends. I've been heading to Indiana and watching my best friends daughter run really well as a Freshman. Finished 8th at semi-state in 18:44. Her teammate, who is the defending state champion, was only five tenths ahead of her.

I'll be heading to her "home XC course" at Lavern Gibson.
On the boys side, Indiana has like 4-5 sub 15 minute runners. Gonna be sick. Terre Haute Norths #1 guy is John Mascari, who went 14:59 at semi-state.
Terre Haute North is a pretty big school, over 30 girls out for XC.
As for running at Troy-
'grats orange on both the WLS teams! Hope your girls and individuals run well at Troy, 609. Good luck Shawnee and the rest of the CBC teams.
Good luck Graham fellas, gotta couple competing. -
stationrunMy favorite region is the Boardman D3 since that is the region my daughter ran at in high school.
In no order:
Girls: McDonald, St. Thomas, Berkshire, Gilmour
Boys: McDonald, Independence, Berkshire, Smithville or Trinity
said; nice home course your friends daughter has!!
orangechik; ooops, missed the nice job by the boys. Do you coach both teams? -
GymshoeWow, I haven't posted here for quite some time. It gets tough to come back here sometimes because there's not much going on.......however, with Regional meets coming up......maybe that will change! My son's team is heading to the Pickerington North DII after a 3 year absence. A month ago, I would have said they had NO CHANCE of advancing out of their District. Kinda nice for my son and his fellow seniors to make the trek to Regionals. Best of luck to all the runners and coaches. I greatly admire your efforts!
P.S. Stationrun, belated congratulations to your wife and to you (as a 13.5 mile pacer) for your performances at the Mohican 50 Miler.......absolutely amazing. My friend also completed the race as a 50 miler on his 50th birthday, although he was not as fast as your wife. -
orangechik00I haven't posted in so long, I almost forgot my password. Thanks said & stationrun! No, I only coach the girls. My son runs on the boys team but found out he has a stress fracture Friday. Our regional is tough...not taking anything for granted. Congrats to your girls 609.

said_aouitaHope this wind dies down before Saturday. Troy stinks even worse when windy.
orange- Is he still going to run Regionals? -
orangechik00No, he's done for the season. Good luck to your friend's daughter this weekend!

stationrunThanks Gymshoe, I'm still recovering, lol!
Sorry to hear about your son's injury orangechik.
Good Luck to all at the regional meets tommorrow!! -
stationrunGreat job by your girls orangechik!!

orangechik00Thanks, stationrun. It was quite a day for us.

orangechik00Amen to that, 609! Minster and Versailles kicked our hineys at Bob Schul but it was so good to run against them at your place. Our boys coach and I were talking about your meet on the way home from running the Troy course Thursday. We both love it! Another conncection I have with you - I'm a big Jack Daniels girl, (in more ways than one).
