Said's favorite meet of the year! 609 - looks like you're going to be there too?

I would say it's fast but not blazing, i.e. last year we ran at Spencerville the week before and for the most part, our times were faster at Spencerville. I'm looking forward to to going to a meet and not having to leave before 6:00 a.m. this week.

haha! Is it wrong the course itself comes into play for what I consider a "favorite meet" of mine?
Two thumbs up for the the finish chute at the JH course. It has a stadium feel with people cheering from both sides.

609- The course at the Junior High is a lot faster then the original course at the high school. This morning we (finally) had a little rain but the ground will still be hard packed come Saturday. Having some gusty winds today, hopefully that calms down by Saturday.
The XC course at the JH has no real hills, just slight inclines and declines. Few sharp turns, mostly gradual rounded-off curves.

The course can produce decent times. If the distance is measured right-on, it will get ya ready for the District and regional meets.

Fun day today! Times were not as fast as expected. Think the gps watches read the course 20'ish meters long?
Of course, it really depends on how you took the turns.

Have we reached that stage of season where it's like "sensory deprivation" or lull in the competitive fire?
Still a few weeks away from the really fun time of the season being conference and then the state series.
Practices are a little more intense while still putting in some quality miles?

Maybe the fast times we've seen in the early weeks settle until regionals and state time?
