Wooster Looking for new Coach
-
THE4RINGZWhy is there such a revolving door for coaches at WHS? It seems every time you turn around they are in need of a replacement coach in some sport.
Makes you wonder why it is so difficult to hold on to coaches there. -
Mr. 300reportedly a group of parents were at odds with the coach and those were the "obstacles" that led to the resignation.
Yet another school has parent problems, and a board/admin who won't back the coach. Wooster's program will be weak for a while, as the cycle is spinning away at this time. It will return, as it always does. -
CCRollyThe parents are idiots. When they grabbed their torches and headed for Gallagher & Pilsitz...the cycle of chaos began. Just a thought, but maybe these parents should have their kids work on improving instead of just thinking they should earn it based on status. The small group of Wooster parents that cause these problems need a serious reality check. They're the joke...
-
THE4RINGZYeah I too thought maybe the AD would eventually step in and protect her coach in this situation. Apparently I was wrong.
Some of the parents are a joke and all the sports programs will continue to suffer until someone steps up and ends all the BS. -
CCRollyAt this point, it pains me to say this, but no good coach should come to Wooster if the administration isn't going to have their back...
-
THE4RINGZHow would they pay a decent coach? According to all the propaganda I am seeing sports will be cut at WHS if the fall levy fails.
On a less sarcastic note..... The entire athletics department is struggling. Fans have become more and more disgruntled with the programs and sadly it is the student athletes who are suffering due to this mix of politics and ineptitude of the current management. -
Mr. 300
That, and WH will be kicking their tails for years to come. I can understand your frustration.CCRolly;378082 wrote:At this point, it pains me to say this, but no good coach should come to Wooster if the administration isn't going to have their back... -
CCRollyYou need to worry more about keeping your best players at your school.
-
Mr. 300
She won just as many state championships in the east as she did in the west.....ouch.CCRolly;378260 wrote:You need to worry more about keeping your best players at your school. -
CCRollyHa ha...good point!
-
CCRollyPilsitz to Wooster? Hah....I think he's already learned his lesson from the "torch-toting mob" of Wooster parents.
-
vball10setI've heard the name Dave Rohe being thrown around as a candidate....anyone have any info on this guy??
-
THE4RINGZSo school board president Mike Baus resigns from the board to take the position. Good luck Dr. Baus.
I have always liked him, and hope this new endeavor works out well for him. -
CCRollyBaus will be focused on returning the girls basketball program to the high standards it had for the 90's and into the 2000's. This isn't going to happen overnight, but he's the right man for the job. Hopefully the administration gave him a vote of confidence about any idiot parents that may try to run him out of town.
-
THE4RINGZI don't see Baus as the type of coach who will tolerate a whole lot of BS from parents.
-
thePITmanCongrats to my dentist! It's always fun talking sports with him after my visits. Good luck!
-
THE4RINGZIf you can still talk when you are leaving the dentist's often, you go to the dentist far too often there pretty boy.
-
thePITmanI was born without 7 adult teeth that would never come in. In 7th grade I had 7 teeth pulled in the same day and then had braces for 5 years (8th grade through Senior year). So yes, I was in there a lot. Haha!
-
mxwlsmrtI have a feeling these Wooster parents already know what's in store for them, and their hot air. Baus will not be bothered by them and I bet most of the "idiots" causing problems would have rather seen a different pick.
-
CCRollyI hope you're right, it's time to get this thing turned around. It's now about building the number of girls back up. I believe there were only 19 out combined in all 4 grades last year.

That's pretty sad that your next few years are, "building" considering you have a few very talented players in HS now. I hate that saying, "what it" but Lord knows your Wooster basketball fans can definitely sit back and say, "what if"!
