Many important decisions to be made.
Let's start with the 1600.
Peter Hix is the fastest returning runner from the state meet in the 1600. He finished 2nd last year, won his region again for the 3rd consecutive year, and has the 2nd fastest qualifying time in 419.
However, Brad Liston, last year's 3200 state champion, has the fastest qualifying time in the 1600 and also qualified in the 3200. Does he try to defend his 3200 title or go for the 1600?
3200
Marty Coolidge beat XC State Champion and Indoor 3200M Champion, Michael Brajdic. They went 922 and 924 and Chase Robinson finished 3rd in 929 with the 3rd fastest qualifying time.
Doubles
Here is everyone who qualified in both the 1600 and 3200. What do you think each individual will do?
Jake Kasperski 423, 954- I think he goes for the 3200. He finished 9th last year at the state meet.
Brad Liston 419, 942- most interesting decision among the field. I think he doubles.
Sam Prakel 420, 945- another interesting case. I expect him to double.
Adrian Ross 420, 953- expect him to double
Kyle Cochrun 421, 948- expect him to double
Brandon McGee 4:21,941- I can see him dropping the 1600
