I see a them coming in second to Walsh. -
Be NiceNow #1 in the state and still undefeated. Sorry Trace baby and fan. I don't see them getting beat.
-
canofcornJonathan Alder is strong but Walsh with Skulina and/or Grieve will overpower them if they run into each other in the state tourney.
-
Know it all^Wrong. I've seen both teams play this year and Alder beats Walsh by at least 6 runs. Not even close. Alder is the real deal. "Be Nice" has it correct. I don't support either team, but high school and college baseball is my pation. Alder has one of the finest high school teams I've seen play in the last 30 years.
-
canofcornI have seen them both play as well....the team that I follow played both of them in last years state tourney and this year they played JA in a non-league game. I agree that JA is a highly talented and competitive team, however their pitching is still a notch below Walsh and that would be the difference. It would be an awesome game to see and will probably happen, so I guess this debate will be settled at that time.

Midstate01Nobody is talking about zanesville. They had walsh beat for 6 1/2 innings. Beat quality Columbus teams and are rolling right now. I think they too have as good a chance as anyone!
-
Be NiceAlder scrimmaged Upper Arligton tonight and won. We'll see if they can keep the streak alive.

We had them beat until our shortstop missed a ball hit directly at him that allowed 2 runs to score. It was 7-6 before after 7-8. That ended up being the final score. If you told me I had one person to hit the ball to that I thought would field it, I would always pick him too. He has some of the best hands I have seen, and I still have no clue how he missed that ball.Midstate01 wrote: Nobody is talking about zanesville. They had walsh beat for 6 1/2 innings. thePITmanZanesville must have one darn good pitcher to throw a no-hitter against Indian Valley (1 walk away from a perfect game, I heard).

He is a great pitcher, but he struggled a little tonight and our defense didn't help him at all. That gane wasn't fair for IV, they were not even close to hitting his pitches.thePITman wrote: Zanesville must have one darn good pitcher to throw a no-hitter against Indian Valley (1 walk away from a perfect game, I heard). -
Hesston4 very good teams in D2 ........ each of these teams are capable in winning this championship, it takes a little luck from the baseball gods at this level to win the ultimate prize.

prestigeworldwideyes jonathan alder had a great season i will not take that away from them and i will add a congratulations on there state championship, but i've never seen a more cocky, classless team in my life from the players to the parents and even the coaches. Hopefully this will change.
