Where are you/we out of our element?

  • Steel Valley Football
    (YOU)

My son was in for surgery at 6:45 today and before we went in my wife asked me to run across the street to get her coffee at Panera.

Having never had coffee (ever), I go in this place and am lost. I think they thought I was mentally disabled, seriously. I don't know how to order this shit. Cream, sugar, sweetener, sweet n low, whatever...I wwas so confused.

Where are you out of your element?

Same can be said about pregnancy tests - why the fuck are there so many and why can't they have a simple yes or no when you use them?

If you mean when I tell the kids they can come pet the dog, sure. My neighbor's kids LOVE my dog Thud, and they scratch his ears, which he likes in return. It's a very symbiotic example.

Since my dog poses no threat, I suppose the most courteous thing to do would be to warn those who have irrational fears of dogs ... er, wolves, I mean. I'd hate to force reality on their simple little minds.

So feel free to not be in north Akron tonight from about 7-8pm. That work for you?

Akron girl rescues family shih tzu from pit bull attack

AKRON, Ohio - Tonya Tillman, of Akron, considers her 9-month-old shih tzu and important part of the family. The little dog named Boss weighs just 10 pounds, and just two weeks ago, was the victim of a vicious pit bull attack.
Tillman told 5 On Your Side Troubleshooter Joe Pagonakis that her dog was nearly killed by a 90-pound pit bull that was on the loose in her neighborhood.
According to Akron police, the pit bull was supposed to be watched by neighbor, Cliafous Jenkins, who lives across the street from Tillman's Akron home.
Tillman said her daughter rescued Boss by using chairs to beat the pit bull off of the family shih tzu. Tillman said her little dog will need surgery and continued treatments, that will cost more than $3,000.

    Enjoy!

My shortest reply ever. Sorry. I didn't think pointing them out individually would help.

    Let me elaborate...

I'm looking for where you are uncomfortable due to being unfamiliar. Not where you are annoyed or don't like to be.

RDI had a good example with the tampon aisle. Others might be taking your daughter to the hair salon if you've never been or simply the grocery store if you dont do the shopping, for example.
