who gives a shit if he is the usher at church? the dude is a piece of shit. Being an usher at church doesn't excuse him from anything. nice logical thinking though.FairwoodKing;1052855 wrote:I don't attend his church, but a mutual cousin of ours does. Speaking of his church, it doesn't seem to have a good influence over young people. A few years ago, the priest's son was caught breaking into houses and stealing thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. If the priest doesn't have any more control over his own son, then he obviously doesn't have much control over people like Busick. -

I wasn't calling you a hypocrite, just the whole 'Busick being an usher' thing. It's just the way it comes across.FairwoodKing;1053167 wrote:What hypocrisy? I'm just saying that you can't always judge a book by its cover.

maybe it's because people that go to church aren't all gods loving creatures...shocking development:rolleyes:FairwoodKing;1053167 wrote:What hypocrisy? I'm just saying that you can't always judge a book by its cover.

spax1212People make mistakes. But not two of them like this within a month of each other . And how is it not as bad as it seems? He was beating kids with a gun so he could take the money in their wallets. Oh yea and maybe a cell phone. The kid was on a full ride to a division one school. Stop being ignorant and use the scholarship you are on to actually get an education. That was the problem with this kid in the first place. NO EDUCATION. Steubenville Big Red is an absolute joke if you are on the football team. The state gives the school all kinds of money to build nice facilities and a football stadium and then the athletes get no real education. At least the good football players don't. Branko and his other teammates didn't even take their own tests in High School. They would go to coach Sac's room or another coach and have other kids do their tests for them. They would not have been eligible to even play in High School if they did their own work. Big Red is a total scam. Always has been, and always will be. That is why 60% of the kids that come from there go nowhere in life. Except maybe the Monongalia prison. This kid should have stayed in Weirton where he was from. He had to have "Big Bully" buy property in Steubenville just so he could play for Big Red after they recruited him. I guess it is just karma that the same property he used to cheat and play at Steubenville was the same bond that had to be posted to get him out of prison. Being addicted to pain killers does funny things to you though. He was attempting these armed robberies to get money for pills. Percocet, Vicadin, Oxycodone, and whatever else he could get his hands on in Morgantown. And how is he going to church on house arrest? Whether he is an usher or not, he should have an example made out of him. Maybe then the rest of WVU's players won't make the same idiotic mistakes that he did.
P.S.
Dear Najee Murray,
Ohio State is heading in the right direction. So please don't bring any of this nonsense from Steubenville to The Ohio State University. Go to class, don't carry a weapon, stay off of drugs, don't hit people with your weapon if you must carry one, listen to Urban Meyer, and for the love of the man upstairs don't trade away any memorabilia for tattoos.
Sincerely,
A concerned Ohio citizen
And to all of Busick's distant cousins and other Big Red alumni. Don't be offended by this post and write all kinds of comments back trying to dispute it. It is all 100% true facts. Every single word of it. So just push aside the denial and realize this is how things really are. It is sad, but true. -

I will say this post sounds like sour grapes. You have a lot to prove. Btw, the state gives Steubenville money to build football stadiums? How many do they have? I didn't realize they had more than 1. And how can OUR schools get their hands on some of this money? -
skankOh, I see now, 2 posts.

spax1212Name the part of it that is not true? He was addicted to pills. He did commit two armed robberies in a month, while using the weapon to strike the victims. He is on house arrest. He did have a lot of his tests taken for him by other students in High School. He did live in Weirton, but played for Steubenville because his dad bought property there. That property bond was used to bail him out. And overall he is just an ignorant human being. And yes Big Red gets all types of state funded $ for who knows what reason. And sorry I did not mean to put an "s" on stadium. So the only thing I was incorrect on was my letter to Petteway because of the WVU rant, which is where he will be attending. So @FairwoodKing, thank you for correcting my mistake. But FYI, I'm not a liar. You must just be in denial. And 2 posts or 20,000 posts, who cares? There is nothing sour here except for the great opportunity that Mr. Busick threw away. Basically twice.

FairwoodKingI just talked to a guidance counselor at Big Red who assures me that football players take their own exams, including Busick. All this BS you put in there to knock Big Red is simply not true.
I will agree with you on one thing-- Busick f*cked up a wonderful opportunity. He will probably go to jail and then come out with nothing. -

Well why don't you talk to some students that were younger than Busick at Big Red and not in his classes. They will tell you differently. Because they were the ones taking some of them. Of course a guidance counselor is going to say that. They aren't trying to lose their job. It goes on. Trust me. It does not happen with every test, but it does happen. A lot. Go sit in coach Reno's room and observe for yourself if it means that much to you to speak with a counselor about it. Not only does that go on, but Busick also committed other armed robberies at WVU that he is not going to trial for. He robbed people several times before getting caught. And I can't stress enough that I am not trying to downgrade Busick or Big Red. As crazy as that sounds, I am really not. These are real things that are happening. How should he even have been allowed to play for Steubenville too? He didn't even live in Ohio.FairwoodKing;1053880 wrote:I just talked to a guidance counselor at Big Red who assures me that football players take their own exams, including Busick. spax1212Thank you. Just because I don't have thousands of posts on here does not take away from my credibility. Why would I waste my time to make up a username and just get on here to bash someone. I don't have another username and I have never even used this site before. I saw a comment on Google about Busick and it led me to this blog. I wanted to say a few things, but it wouldn't let me unless I had a name on Ohio Chatter. So I made one. That is why this is the only topic I have commented on. Sorry I have a life and don't sit around all day bitchin about High School athletics. I have better things to do. So take what you want from my previous comments or disregard all of them. It isn't going to change anything as far as I am concerned. All I am saying is that these things are happening and people are simply to ignorant to realize it. Or to stubborn to believe it.

Do you have proof and does this go on at any other schools that you know of? What if someone started posting that some IC players don't have to attend classes on game day because the coaches want them rested for the big game, would that make it true? No it would just make it an internet post meant to stir the pot, just like yours.spax1212;1061154 wrote:Thank you. TiernanChrist if they held the trial in Stubbyville he'd probably get off scott free. (or someone else would stand in for him during the trial).
