Emmett BrownShit, I still had money on my card.

cbus4lifeJust put a Dave and Busters in. Though, Polaris does have one now.
-
raiderbuckDave and Busters is more expensive than Gameworks...and it would be a tiny Dave and Busters at that.
Just don't put anything stupid in there...like a giant Abercrombie store -
sleeperCouple of cum dumpsters.

thedynasty1998A jail to throw all the thugs into that frequent the mall at nights.

I've said it before and I will say it again, in 20 years Easton will not be the premier mall in the northeast corner of the city.thedynasty1998 wrote: A jail to throw all the thugs into that frequent the mall at nights. -

I agree and disagree. Wexner has so much control over that area, that he won't allow anyone to built another mall anywhere close. He fought Polaris for years before someone was willing enough to build it.LJ wrote:

The land was owned for awhile and every development company that came in to build it, Wexner would go to them and say if they built it he would pull his stores out of their properties nationwide, so no one was willing to do it.
So with Polaris up north and Easton NE, I don't know if it happens anytime soon. -

He'd be 93 in 20 years, plus with the way Columbus is growing, I wouldn't bet against it. Like I said, my dad was on the Northland Chamber back in the late 8's and warned them of the same things. They laughed it off. Not saying he was a great visionary, but he was the only landlord on the board, so he saw what went on in the area after dark and the way the housing market was moving. "Oh Casto's etc etc would never let that happen". Yeah, then Easton opened up a few miles down the road and took away ALL the suburbanite traffic. With housing prices really falling in that area, you will see a shift to outside of 270 on the northeast side.thedynasty1998 wrote:

Big_Mirg_ZHSThe next big mall will be up near where then LJ the sunbury area??

Yea, but someone will take over the Lex Wexner role in Columbus. He owns and runs basically everything in NE Columbus.LJ wrote:

But I do tend to agree with you. Easton already has a bad reputation and it hasn't even been around that long.
Do you work in the RE industry? I seem to remember you having some insightful information on other Columbus RE related topics. -

out past new albany. Polaris is near the sunbury area. With the new expressway out there and everything, it's a prime location for a new mall.Big_Mirg_ZHS wrote: The next big mall will be up near where then LJ the sunbury area?? -

not anymore, my dad still stays informed just because he knows just about everyone in Columbus, but he retired in 2004. My dad and grandpa basicallt built the whole residential area around Northland in the 70's.thedynasty1998 wrote:
