Ever lose your cell-phone????

  • hang_loose
I lost my Blackberry Storm Friday night. Tried to call my # and phone was already shut off. Had the Storm deactivated and reactivated an older phone. Verizon said that they ( whoever has the phone) cannot reactivate the storm without the right serial #.

Question one: Can they get around the serial #?

This probably a stupid question but is there any way to get my phone #'s back from the Blackberry?

    Thanks!!!

Lost my phone after a wild night a couple of weeks ago. Called it the next morning and it went straight to voicemail. So I thought it's either dead or broken. Went back to sleep and called it again a little later in the afternoon and someone answered it. The guy who had found my phone lived in the same dorm room that I did last year. Got it back. It was weird that OU has 20,000 some students and that same room found it.

    Oh yeah, Cool story bro.

And sorry I can't help you out with your question.

if you had back up assistant installed, you should be able to get your numbers back easily

How often do you back up your Blackberry data? You can. Recover contacts on your new phone off your Blackberry Desk Top manager as of your last back up.

Sometimes I wish I could lose my cell phone. I got it for emergencies only and now everybody and their mother calls it when I'm not home - just to chat.
The only reason they have that number was in case of anything happening.

Wished I'd never gotten one now.
    $#@!

i've lost two - got one back (lost one at wal-mart and the other at Kroger - got the one at Kroger back). threw one out of my sunroof and another fell out of my motorcycle jacket.

I lost one at a cross-country meet and there was some minor activity on it before I could get it shut down. I was fairly lucky. I have had my current one for two years and I try not to sit on the ground at any team picnics. I think it fell out of my pocket as I was either getting up or sitting on the ground but I never was able to find it and didn't realize it was gone until I got home. I drove the 25 miles back to the site but to no avail.
