Still Going Strong

    my sobriety date is June 7, 08(6-7-8), I quit counting days, weeks month.....just live for today!!! know how proud i am, what a better person,husband and father.....
    earnest youre doing great bro, I'm here if you need an ear. JUST DONT SET THAT GOAL DATE....(after a year, i might drink again). because that just puts the countdown in your head....(in 11 months i drink again....etc). Just live for the moment, Love your wife(or i will) ;)....and be glad you got a grip on shit.

    My sobriety date is September 15th 1987. No matter how long I've been sober, I know if I start again it will be just as bad if not worse in no time. I've seen too many people with 1, 5, 10 and 20 years go out. When they sober back up if they do they say the same thing. "In a short amount of time their drinking was worse than it was when they quit the pevious time and it was harder to quit."

    I KNOW if I take that first drink it's going to cost me my family, my job, my house and every thing else that is important to me. My second drink will cost me 2.50$.
