I doubt that. Apple is a real smartass. Tom was a good man!!Be Nice wrote: I "heard" Tom in Dayton is now Apple over here.
No way the two are the same person!! NO WAY! -
Polar Bear 73Orovilletigers was indeed the gentleman that you all are talking about. He was originally from Ohio (Zanesville or Chillicothe, maybe?) He moved to Northern California several years ago. He came back on the Huddle later under a different user name, but I can't remember what it was.
bballfan and I played golf with him at Mill Creek, Ben Curtis' home course, while the Claret Jug was displayed there. Great time, we had our picture taken holding the trophy. He was (is, hopefully) a great guy. He was nearly 70 when we played with him, and just as fit and spry as any 40 year old.
Speaking of Ben Curtis, did anyone notice that he is tied for the lead at Arnie's Bay Hill tournament today? -
hilliardfanI thought Integrity was one of the best posters. I enjoyed his comments and his encouragement.

gerb131General Zod although he can stay where he is.

Gardens35^ Lots of laughs with that guy.....started some great threads. (Referring to Integrity)

That's why I didn't recognize the Orovilletigers name because I remembered him from the second name that he came back on.Polar Bear 73 wrote: Orovilletigers was indeed the gentleman that you all are talking about. C'mon he's just a kid with a dream. He wanted to be around back in the day, he just wasn't born yet. Give the kid a break.Keebler wrote:

That was smileyburnett, I think. I remember him alluding to living in Cali and I remember he signed off on a lot of his posts with something like "from the old guy". He was one of those "eccentric, but in a fun way" sort of posters who'd come up with some wild and possibly insane things particular sports teams should do that always tended to stir up some attention.Polar Bear 73 wrote: Orovilletigers was indeed the gentleman that you all are talking about. Hope he's doing good. If memory serves, towards the latter part of our (in general) time on that site, he had posted a thread mentioning his wife has passed away. -
NateWe need to find a way to get a hold of him. He'd be a great addition to here.

trackandccrunnergiftie, tallballgirl, and integrity are some who I first thought of. BAB I agree Natron was a pretty cool guy even for a Mets fan .

I don't think it was smileyburnett. This guys' name only had 6 or 7 letters if I recall.Heretic wrote:
