I'm looking to buy a used truck w/ crew cab ......... So far I have found three that I liked, after 20 minutes at the salesman desk and him getting up 4 times to check with his manager, then the manger coming over I walk out. I tell them when they can get together on their time to make this deal call me.
One dealer I have talked to 6 different people 3 in person and 3 on the phone...... I told that manager that when they can figure out who the one person I can deal with call me ...... never go a call back
The last one was the best. I liked the truck. When to my bank and got a loan for the amount with a low interest rate. I wanted to pay was $2000.00 less that the sticker price, I did my homework on the value of the truck, trade-in, retail sale, warranty everything. Told the guy where I wanted my payment and the months of the loan 60 month ......They jumped around, the manager, financial guy, sale guy back and forth. Come back and tells me that they can do the monthly payment but only at 72 months. I ask if they looked in other areas to make this deal other than just the interest rate and time factor. NO the price was the same as the sticker. I quickly explained that I already had financing and that if they would have made an effort to lower the price I would have written a check that day.
I walked out ...they been calling me daily and the truck is still there. Each time they call I lower the monthly payment by $20.00. They stopped calling three days ago.
Note: I will sit and watch to see if this truck sells i will give it 3 weeks if it is still on the lot I will go back and make them do everything over and give me free oil for 2 years and replace the brakes front and back. Reason the truck has 38,000 mile it ready for new brakes.
