Tim Tebow's Wonderlic Prayer = FAIL

Its one thing (I do it at times) to bow your own head and pray before something "big" like a test, its another to ask the whole "class" to bow their heads and pray.

Even as a Christian myself, Timmy went too far on this one.

If you read the article...it says it was a rumor. No confirmation on this at all.
  • Devils Advocate
It was also a rumor for many years that Elton John is gay

For what it's worth, they talked about it on "Mike and Mike in the Morning" today. Not saying it justifies it, but the story has some legs, rumor or not. I really hope its BS, cause that is just lame on multiple levels.

I just think it is ridiculous how so many people are trying to force failure on him. It is crazy that a player who does nothing but work his butt off, has great moral standings and values, and one who will do whatever he can for his team gets ridiculed and bashed more that the players who are busted for drugs, are selfish, or lazy.

I actually think he is a good kid, and certainly don't wish failure on him. But I do have a problem with anyone pushing their beliefs on people.

He should have prayed harder, he scored worse than Roethlisberger. Now that's major league dumb.

To each their own. I have no issue with Tebow or his beliefs. I'm FAR from pious, believe me.

What DOES piss me off are guys like Matt Stover who point to the heavens to say "thank you" after making a field goal. So if I'm reading it correctly, if there is a higher power, they are rooting FOR Stover to make that kick and for the opponent to lose. Is that about right?

I dont think beliefs should be pushed either. Im just sick of the guy being hammered by everyone.

As for the Stover thing...maybe he is just thanking God for the fact that he has the ability to even make the kick?

No wonder...he was rattled after being told to STFU.

Roethlisberger just got nervous and choked because when they said "test" he thought it was for DNA.. ;)

He could be "speaking" to his father, mother, grandparent, etc.

    Which he misspelled.

I'm not going to lie, and it's easy for me to say this because I'm not a competitor in these guys' position....you could pay me a little over a million to hold a clipboard for most of the year. I'd take it.

But. I'm sure if I was in the position of Smith, and likely Tebow, I'd definitely want to play.

On topic, if this rumor is true, SMH, Tebow.

Now I'm no christian, but I can't imagine if I was in a group of my peers and one of them, who happened to be a devout Christian and wore it on his sleeve, offered up the notion of joining hands in prayer, that I would feel the urge to tell him to "shut the fuck up".

The dude loves God, seems to have a purpose in life and lives humbly and for others...he doesn't bother me. Now, if he offered up all of us creating a Man Pile orgy....then....STFU and GTFO
