Favorite Team of Analysts? Favorite Team of Announcers?

  The topic was brought up on the college basketball forum. I wasn't sure where to post, since it encompasses all sports. Which team of analysts is your favorite? I like the NCAA basketball analysts that are on ESPN. The MLB analysts on ESPN would have to come in second.
  
  I would say my favorite team of announcers is either Fox baseball or ESPN NCAA basketball.
  
  What do you think?

  (I can't think of any announcing team without giving the all-time shout out to Marty and Joe...)
  
  I know many will disagree...but I like the Sunday Night Football squad on NBC with Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth calling the game, and that studio crew with the reunited Dan Patrick and Keith Olberman, among others. (It will work as long as Olberman can keep his tractor-sized ego under check).
  
  Also like both shifts of ESPN's NBA crew. Jeff van Gundy is actually pretty insightful.
  
  However, IMO, ESPN's MNF is by far the worst.

  You're gonna think I'm a homer but I love listening to Michael Kay do play by play on YES along with a combo of Paul O'Neill, Al Leiter, Ken Singleton and David Cone, its kind of a rotating system, but I love all those guys

  When I lived in New York I loved listening to Yankees games on the radio because of John Sterling. He is a great announcer, the only problem is that he is paired with Susan Waldman (sp?) who is absolutely terrible. If she would just never talk the games would have been amazing.
  
  I like Joe Morgan and Johnny Miller when they do baseball games on ESPN. I'll second Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth, another good duo.

  I like the MNF crew. I also am a big fan of Joe Morgan and Johnny Miller.

  Radio: Joe Tait, and it's not close. I also like Tom Hamilton, but Tait is the man.
  
  TV: Madden and Summerall are my all-time favorites. I don't really care for any of the NFL announce teams now. I can't stand Collinsworth. Joe Buck is awful calling NFL games, but I like him doing baseball. Others I like are Al Michaels, Brad Nessler, Mike Breen, and Marv Albert.

  Thom Brennaman is the best play by play man in sports. I am a huge Reds fan and I have to admit, the man belongs in football. Luckily we get to hear him on the Big 10 Network and Fox's BCS coverage. Too bad Fox's BCS coverage is going away (although Thom's play by play was probably Fox's only redeeming quality).

  Favorite team of analysts: College GameDay - Chris Fowler, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, and Desmond Howard.
  
  -I just think these guys all work great together. Fowler is a great moderator and a really sharp analyst, Corso and Howard bring a high entertainment value (and pretty solid insight) and I think Herbstreit is the best in the business.l
  
  Favorite play-by-play men - (tie) Thom Brenneman, Brent Musberger, and Gus Johnson.
  
  -I know Buckeye fans hate Musberger, but he has two of the greatest calls in Buckeye history and the dude is a legend. Thom does a great job calling the game, he is really does a good job staying away from editorializing, which I think a lot of play-by-play guys do now. And Gus just brings the energy. He could make a light breeze seem exciting.
  
  I also think Brad Nessler is vastly underrated.
  
  Favorite color guy: Herbstreit.
  
  Least favorite team of analysts: Any pre-game groups of analysts (ESPN, CBS, Fox, and NBC)
  
  -They are all terrible.
  
  Least favorite play-by-play guy: Jim Nantz, Joe Buck, Mike Tirico (always editorializing), and tons of others.
  
  Least favorite color guy: Bob Griese, Gary Danielson, Phil Simms, Glen Mason.
  
  -They are all just bad.
