Swamp FoxDoes anyone remember the beer that came in the white can and said "beer" on the can in black letters? I think it may have been a Kroger product but I'm not really sure. Anyway, it was God awful but in those days it served it's purpose, particularly if pay day was still a few days away. Sometimes one has to compromise his expectations in the interest of economic responsibility.

enigmaaxI don't see it often anymore, but I do proudly sport a hat with the logo on a daily basis = Blatz.

I do remember that "beer". I was too young to taste test it though.Swamp Fox wrote: Does anyone remember the beer that came in the white can and said "beer" on the can in black letters? Yeah, I see it every once in awhile when I travel. I live in a small, rural area so it may not make it here like it does other places. I've never seen anyone actually drink it other than my parents when I was about eight years old.....oh, and then me just to say I did (not when I was eight). Not good by any stretch of the imagination.Belly35 wrote: I think you can still get Blatz Beer in the cans -

And the white cans that said "beer" were just that... they were generic BEER, as we went through a period of generic everything in the late 70's/early 80's. Had a good friend in college who drank that stuff all the time... <bends over and barfs> -
