Favorite Quentin Tarantino Movie

  • killdeer
    a timely question with the recent Academy Awards;
most critics suspect the true runner-up for Best Picture to "The Hurt Locker" was not "Avatar", but rather "Inglourious Basterds".

    Definitely a very eccentric dude.

My pick is for the "Kill Bill" saga.

My personal favorite is Reservoir Dogs.
  • BuckeyeBlue
    Best movie: Pulp Fiction

My favorite: Kill Bill (Volumes 1 and 2). Inglorious Basterds is in this discusion as well.

    Pulp Fiction

What no True Romance on the list???

My personal favorite is Reservoir Dogs

Wasn't "From Dusk Till Dawn" his movie, too?

I may surprise people, but I really like Jackie Brown. I don't know exactly why, but I can watch it over and over again.
A close second is Reservoir Dogs.
  • Little Danny

Tarantino co-wrote the screenplay (and had a part in the movie), but Robert Rodriguez directed that film. These two have similar styles and have collaborated on a number of movies together (ie. Desparado).

    Thanks for the headsup!

    I vote for Pulp Fiction

I read through that list four times and still couldn't pick one. Every time I would think about each movie, that was the one I wanted to pick. But then when I read the next one I wanted to pick that one instead.

Toss-up between Reservoir and Pulp....gotta go with Pulp in the end. It just had so much cultural resonance I think. There are still a lot of things being ripped off from that movie. Plus, the pacing and timing in Pulp are second to none. The way the movie was made was also a big shot in the arm to movies all over. So...yeah, Pulp for me. Plus, how many times have you said, "roy-al with cheese"?

    Pulp Fiction
    Reservoir Dogs
    Inglorious Basterds
  • Fab1b
Pulp Fiction closely followed by Inglorious
  • ksig489
    Best Tarantino movie = NONE

    Worst Tarantino movie = ALL

His films are awful. The only one even watchable is Reservior Dogs.

It's so hard to choose between those three...I ended up picking Basterds with Pulp Fiction close behind...it's just been a few years since I've seen PF and RD.
  • End of Line
Pulp Fiction. It's my favorite movie of all time.
  • tk421
Haven't seen them all, but I like Kill Bill.
  • Curly J
I like them all. Too close to call for me.
  • Quint
True Romance was written by Quentin, but someone else directed it.

    Miss Jackie Brown

True Romance was directed by Tony Scott (Top Gun). Pulp is QT's best. True Romance If counted since he wrote it is second best. Would have loved to see that movie with him behind the camera, although TS did a great job.
